Re: Voodooman or Switch Doctor ?

Stay away from voodooman. Every dealing I have ever seen with him is a nightmare. Their is a multipage thread somewhere around here about his business practices. I have heard good things about switch Dr though.

Re: Several faults in a three channel Dual Recto

My DR had the same problem with the clean ch. I got around it by using the solo boost on the clean CH. It helped quite a bit.

All the very early ones had either the recessed cup or the solid switchcraft (1/2 inch metal) jack mounted right in the baffle. Mid eighties they changed over to the square metal plate about 3 1/2" x 4" . Did t...

Re: I bought MARK III head!

Congratulations on your impending NGD! I just recently got a MIII Green stripe myself. When you get it make sure you have plenty of free time. When I got mine I was in awe, IMO this is the best amp I have ever heard. I locked myself in the basement. Expecting to play for a little bit and lost track ...

Re: Is there any point in using the solo boost knob on the Recto

TBH. the only reason I use mine is to boost the volume on the clean channel and not have any breakup. I wish there was a way to mod the solo boost to turn on with channel 1.

I really would like to see some side by side comparisons. I've heard a couple reviews of people who says they cant stand them..

But I still want one..

Re: new to tube amps and i have a ? about my dual rectifier

Yes you can remove tubes to make it 50 watts. Your tubes are set up in a YXXY pattern. So you can either remove the 2-Y's or the 2-X's. Remember to remove a Rectifier tube if your using Recto tracking on the head also. You also need to halve your Impedance. In other words your 8 Ohm cab will need to...
