Re: Mesa Mark III vs. Mark IV

My M3's lead channel has a LOT less gain/crunch than my m4's. It seems like it has one less gain stage than the m4. I'm not sure what a stock bluestripe's gain is like, since I bought mine with the c+ mod, and I've heard that reduces the gain. I've tried a TS (in fornt) and a tube preamp into it (e...

Zombie Panties

Hey guy, here's a recording I did with some friends using my mark4 It's an older/initial mix of the song. It was originally recorded on 2 fostex vf16's and then exported/imported into Reaper/PC. Tons of tracks that needed a lot of attention and it was pretty much a project for learning reaper. We ha...

Re: best switching solution?

I am looking to clean up the pedal board and add functionality. I know a few choices.. GCX, RJ-16 and the Effects Gizmo, am I'm trying to keep costs down. I'd like to be able to plug a wireless in (or cable) run phase/ flange / distortion in front of amp, and have delay in loop. at somepoint i will...

Re: Double tracking phase issues.

Well see, I'm recording two takes of the same guitar riff, one mic, panning them hard left and right. It's just that the minute differences in the playing results in phase problems. And actually, I tried reamping the same guitar track panned hard left and hard right using one mic only and leaving i...

Re: Double tracking phase issues.

Unless you plan to pan them hard left/right I think you're going to have problems. some people just use one mic... or you can try this method:

Re: Peavey Rockmaster vs. Mesa Triaxis

I agree with the comments on the eq'ing of the RM. There was always something to be desired. I tried a boss ge7 and also a 31 band (roland iirc) but neither did the trick. I would just get lost trying to fix what couldn't be fixed. I gave up on the external eq's and realized that to using its (activ...
