Any Love For Tascam Interfaces? US-4x4?

Been reading a lot the last few days about interfaces for home studio. My EMU 1616PCI is on its last leg, but the sound quality has been very acceptable for home demo recording. The Tascam US-4x4 has the right features for me, 4 mic pre's, 1/4 inch outs with hard volume knob control, midi I/O, and n...

Re: Reverb.com IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

Finally, FedEx denied my claim, citing poor packaging led to damage. It didn't seem to matter that FedEx packaged the amp and provided all packaging and packing. This is standard operating procedure for FedEx. If they packed it for you and your receipt shows that you paid them to pack it, they are ...

If I had a windfall, the last amp I would go near is a Peavey VK.

Re: TERRIBLE hum from the effects loop and sub par tone

Any suggestions on how to eliminate the hum that I get from the effects loop? Noise suppression pedals don't work for me btw. Also my distortion isn't as "good" as some people I hear demonstrating the head online. Early 2000's Triple Rectifier btw. Can you explain your rig? Are you powering pedals ...

Re: Mesa Boogie Amp Help Needed. Model & Year? Condition? Va

That is the kind of amp that makes keyboard players take up guitar! Get it renovated by an expert tech, or best yet send it to Mesa if you can afford to let them do it. Then find a good guitarist to team up with and start writing songs.

I disagree with the others, DON'T SELL IT!

Re: Stand-alone multitrack recorder or PC?

It is not the end of the world since I opted for the Tascam recorder. I can pull the files from the memory card and use a DAW if I had one to perform a mixdown. That would come in handy to modify tracks I would assume. If it is similar to video editing but on a single or multiple track that would m...

Re: Recent instrumental recorded on Tascam DP-32SD

Did you use a click track? I really like the sounds you use, but the timing sounds unsteady. My impression from listening to hundreds of home made recordings over the years is that tiny flaws in timing, unsteady tempo, and small imperfections in synchronization are the first things that get noticed....

FS: Brand New Head Cab Cream + Wheat $80 Bucks Shipped!

Brand new head cab, pine and plywood build, cream tolex with gold wheat color grill front, nickel corners, rubber feet, no handle. Never used, INSIDE width is 15 3/4 inches, 9 inches high, 9 inches deep, amp cutout is 2.5 inches high. Surely some amp builder can use this? Might make a nice box for a...

Re: Roadster in large room, ended up in EQ hell!

Forget conventional amp settings. This is by far and a mile the best advice ever given by anyone to anyone for dialing in Mesa amps. When I read (the OP) that you set everything to 12 noon and started over, I knew you were doomed from the start. That tactic only works on "normal" amps. I don't want...
