Re: TC100, 6V6, Creamback M65’s. Glorious.

This is very interesting. For band use, I play through a Marshall 1964A with V30s. I love how that cab/speakers accentuates the mids and sounds more open than a Mesa or Orange cab. I use the HI channel for a more modern, heavily saturated tone and the LO channel for vintage break-up and tone. I'm cu...

Re: Graphic EQ in loop

<<Having that ability to shape your signal before the power section is a requirement IMHO.>>

For my needs, I concur. It's certainly a powerful option. I'm continually amazed how minor tweaks to the EQ result in MAJOR tone shifts.

Re: Graphic EQ in loop

Thanks, Jnoel! I was very happy we were able to capture the tone and maintain it through the mastering process.

I'll be interested to see if others chime in about using an EQ in the loop . . .

Re: TC-100 excessive fan noise?

I agree, domct. Just because the fan is slightly audible when not playing or at very low volumes does not make it "excessive." I'm assuming that player is referring to low volume/bedroom situations. Why get a 100w amp if you're not going to use the 100w? When I've been playing for over an hour in a ...

Re: Graphic EQ in loop

Jnoel, I completely agree about an EQ in the loop, although I'm using one in my TC-100 for a different purpose. For the band I'm in, I love the mid-crunch of this amp from all three channels when paired with my Marshall 1960A in band practice and performance settings. When I'm at home, the amp is pa...

Re: Just completed a metal album with TC-100

Thanks, psycho! I was very happy (surprised? relieved?) we were able to capture and maintain my tone through the mixing/mastering process.

Just completed a metal album with TC-100

The band I'm in plays a combination of metal/punk sub-genres (doom/sludge/crust/dbeat). Please know I make no claims to BE punk (especially after buying the TC-100, lol). For what we're doing, I need three tones: 1) a pushed "clean" with break-up; 2) a mid-forward, aggressive, crusty, overdrive/dist...

Re: N A D: TC-100

I think with the right boost/od/eq pedals either amp will approximate those tones. The TC-50/100 will be more versitile with 3 channels vs 2 channels on the Stiletto, and is still in production. Dom I agree that the you can definitely get those three tones with the TC-50/100. I've been playing my T...
