FS FT Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic w/ 2x12 cab in Phoenix, AZ

I bought the head new a few months back and had the cab a while ago. Its simply HUGE and too much for me. Id like to downsize to a 1x12 and Mark V 25.

Too much of a hassle to ship.

Here's my Craigs ad.

Re: "Fixing" the Nomad's 3rd channel

Sounds like you might want a completely different amp! Is selling it and getting something you want more of an option? I had a Nomad 45. It was cool.. but weird. None of the channels were great.

Re: Rectoverb 25 vs mini rectifier, help me choose!

I disagree. I had both at the same time and A/B'd them quite a bit. They sound identical to me. My RV25 was a combo, and it sounded quite a bit different into the combo speaker than an external cab. But the MR sounded the same as the RV25 when running both in to the same cab, whether it was the int...

Re: Which Mesa to Get

Check out the Lonestar Special. That might work. Also, the cleans on the Rectoverb 25 watt are really good. I'd go with that over the Mark.

Re: Anybody Roll Without OD Pedals?

...I think the best part about gain pedals, though, is gain stacking... Big +1 And here lies a new realm of creativity. Why squelch it? Why belittle it? I guess if you don't understand it or perhaps it threatens your Boogie philosophy. But once you spend a metric ass-load of time with your amp, you...

Re: Anybody Roll Without OD Pedals?

OD pedals and training wheels are both good tools for compensating for a lack of skill. Once that skill has been learned they should get taken off. That's a goofy statement. So i guess everyone should just play clean tones? Is the only use for distortion / overdrive compensation for lack of s...

Rumor is they are revamping the Atlantic Series. I cannot reveal my sources. :-)

Have you actually A/B'd the Mini vs the Rectoverb 25? Perhaps its the same circuit, but they DO NOT sound the same. The Rectoverb sounds much better.

Looking for a 7 string... need advice!

Hi all, Im in the market for a 7 string. Im looking for something with a fast thin neck made in USA or Japan. That is a must! I'd like 2 humbuckers, no floating trem (I like the idea of being able to change tunings without doing a complete setup and spending an hour doing so.... I dont really want t...

Re: NGD - Gibson Les Paul Traditional

It looks like it has Downs Syndrome. What??? Please explain. :? Love the Les Paul. I have a Trad Pro with the slim 60s neck and its KILLER. My brain doesn't quite register it being in reverse, ie left-handed. HA! OK. I wasn't sure what you were referring to. I'm the same way regarding lefties, they...

Re: Anybody Roll Without OD Pedals?

I consider OD pedals "silly." Tube OD in amp sounds way better, and I don't need footswitches or cables all over the place. I also consider foot switches and channel switching "silly." I plug straight in to the amp. I use the volume control on my guitar to change between clean and overdrive. If you...

Re: Pros and cons of bolt on vs. neck through

Has there been a scientific study regarding sustain on neck thru vs bolt on guitars? And lets say OK, a neck thru sustains for a couple of seconds longer. So what? Unless you play only 1 note every 12 to 20 seconds, does it matter? lol. I prefer bolt on necks. Easier to work with. If they break, you...
