Re: Putting together a Mark III Guide

Agree with send it to Mesa and buy the stripe you want. I've played on all the stripes and they sound different enough.
Personally I wouldn't do it any other way.

Re: California Tweed - How to dial the amp for different guitars.

I usually have a idea in my mind of what type of sound I want. Start with all or most of the knobs at noon.....and just use you ears to get it where you want. Don't be afraid of using a knob all the way up or off. There is so many variables....every individual guitar, cab, etc sounds different. Not ...

Re: The Beauty of Mark IV Rhythm 2 ch.

RHY2 with the GEQ is a great sound. On it's own or with a boost or overdrive. It's very versatile. The clean sounds and point of breakup ....all the way up to crunch. It's not as saturated and has good dynamics. The most punch of the three channels. If I use a overdrive it's usually from the Klon or...

You can leave it on running for months and it won't hurt it.

I would just ask Mesa....that way you get the right answer the first time.

Re: Mark IVB Slave and Recording Outs

Slave is a line level output off the poweramp.

If I remember correctly the record out is off the preamp. I used it often a few decades ago.

Re: Speaker combination for Rev G

I like the H30 a little more than the greenback. The nice thing about the H and greenback is they get speaker breakup at very low volume. I play a very wide range of musical styles. So these cabinets fit the way I play. I've been using these cabs for decades and they are completely broken in. I use ...

Re: Speaker combination for Rev G

I use two 4x12 side by side with my Tremoverb (Rev G).
Slant H30 top / Vintage 30 bottom.
Straight greenback top / Vintage 30 bottom.

K100 and Vintage 30 is a good combination.

Re: Pull deep location - JP2C and iic+

I'm not sure. I didn't say use the effects send for anything. Plug your guitar directly into the effects return using only one amp. See if the pull deep does anything. Do not have the other amp hooked up in any way. This only to test one individual amp. The effects return pretty much is the poweramp...

Re: Pull deep location - JP2C and iic+

Using one amp plug your guitar directly into the effects return of either amp and see if the pull deep does anything.
If I remember correctly the pull deep is removal of the negative feedback in the poweramp.

Re: Lone Stars Discontinued?

It's on the Mesa site.... Probably Sweetwater no longer has them.
Mesa removes amps from their site if discontinued.

Re: Trem-O-Verb Effects Loop Questions

Run the mix a 100% or off....whatever is louder. Set the level for the best tone. ...or off if it does nothing. In the Orange mode you might have the presence knob work. In the Red mode none of the tone controls probably work. They are not part of the poweramp. Loop Select....just try them all and s...

It does make it kind of difficult to use the site. Not to mention none of them are guitar related.

Re: Mark IV red plating

UK might be too far. I'm in Seattle so not that far. My Tremoverb, Heartbreaker and Mark IV all need to go in for maintenance. I'm not having issues.
I hope it works out for you.
