Sounds like it is working for you. The amp has really great cleans. Some of the best I have heard on a Mesa. I remember turning back the treble and presence. The amp really cuts. Don't feel too bad...we all make mistakes and learn. I've blown a few speakers and have had amp issues.

I had a tube red plate last week and take out a bias resistor.

Blowing two speakers is unusual. Don't know what to think about this one.

I use Red more than Orange, Blues or Clean modes. I like Orange for leads.

I don't think you need a pedal with these amps.
As I have mentioned earlier.... version one of the Stiletto is much more like a Marshall than version two.
Both are good amps.
