2:90-Channel B not working

Hello,

After playing thru the 2:90, heard a few loud pops and crackling so I shut down. After restarting, channel B no longer has output. all 8 6L6's are glowing. Checked all 3 fuses. Seem to be fine also.

Any ideas?? Thanks!

2:90 sudden rise in level/volume

Hello, I'd like to know if there are any 2:90 owners who have experienced a sudden "rise" in volume/level after the amp has warmed up a bit. Nothing extreme, just a sudden boost. If I put the amp in stand by for a minute or so, and turn it back on, it's back to normal for another minute or so then t...

How does "Solo" function work??

Hello, I'm trying a wet/dry/wet setup with an additional power amp(2:90) and when I I select "Solo" the only increase in level is the "dry" cab. There is no level increase on the stereo cabs being fed audio via my RK I series loop Send output, feeding fx and then the 2:90 power amp. So Solo has no e...

RK I having "fluxuating" FX Loop Send level issues.

Hello, I just noticed this yesterday; I have a Lexicon PCM81 which is connected via a DMC System Mix to the series FX Loop of my Road King Series I head. While playing, I noticed that the input level LEDs on PCM81 had dropped "way" down compared to where they normally register(below red/clip). I imm...

Is it safe to power two 4X12 Recto cabs with RK on 50wts?

Hello,

Anyone know if it's "safe" to run two 4X12 Recto cabs(V30) with a Road King head set to 50watts?? I'm coming out 4ohms outputs to each cab, which are 8 ohms each.

I'm just curious as to whether this could be unsafe to either the head, the cabs or both?

Thanks in advance!

Not the same. Looking for a different "color" than stock Mesa gain tone.

Drive pedal for Road King EL34 medium gain

Hello, I've got my hi gain channel set; channel 3/50wt 2-6L6/vintage mode with a Suhr Koko boost doing a mid boost(sweeeet!!!) So I start messing around with channel 4, set to 50wt 2-EL34/vintage mode. This time, I'm going for more of a "mid-gain"(think the rhythm guitar tone of Whitesnake's Slide I...

Re: Replacing gem power lamp-easy?? What's involved?

Thanks guys!

Yeah, it was as easy as just unscrewing it.

Now to pick a color and order one. Still think I'm going with blue.

I used to own a Dual Rec Rackmount with polished chrome chassis and it came

with a blue gem lamp. Looked great!

Replacing gem power lamp-easy?? What's involved?

Hey,

I'd like to change out the "red" gem lamp in my RK with a blue lamp.

Is it as easy as removing the front mounting hardware and plugging in the new lamp or does it require removing the chassis from the head shell?

Thanks in advance!!

Same here! I'm guessing it's the volume/level difference between Ch 3 being in Vintage mode and Ch 4 being in Modern mode.

Thanks again guys!

Road King Ch 4 Master Level set lower than Ch's 1-3. Normal?

Hello, I just want to know if this is "normal" or issue. I have a series I Road King head I use with the King Kontroller. When I adjust all individual Master volume levels, I see that channel 4 needs to be set quite a bit lower than say Ch 3(1 & 2 also). For example, I have the master for channel 3 ...

Re: Road King King Kontroller Problem

Hello, Just came across this topic. I am having the same issue but not with the cable coming loose, just moving or touching the cable used to connect the King Kontroller to the RK head causes these switching errors and pops/crackles. I removed the side panel where the din plug is inserted to check t...

Re: Anyone pair a 2:90 with Road King for wet/dry setup??

Hello, What I'd like to know is if the tone is way off. I'll be sending just "wet" fx signal. Will it negatively affect the tone or will it do a good job at replicating the effected recto tone? Both amps are pretty much 6L6 powered(even though the RK offers 34's). Plus the 2:90 has those switchable ...
