Re: Could have bought a car but got this instead

If the amp was on standby without a cab connected it won't hurt anything. Not likely you did any damage anyway. Mesas are tough.

Re: Lead boost pedal new mini mark 5:25

Suhr Koko boost is one. A little mid bump can bring you out in the mix without relying solely on volume. Otherwise, boosting or using an overdrive pedal in front of the amp will only give you more gain saturation, and not much of a volume bump. An eq pedal or something like the TC Spark booster mini...

Re: Volume weirdness in Mark V 25

The Master Level is relative to the amount of Gain, and also the amount of pre-gain EQ that is dialed up. They are not necessarily going to be at equal settings to achieve the same volume level. Thanks! Maybe, but not enough that it would cause this. Also, I ran everything at noon with GEQ off. Any...

Re: RA100, Have you tried other power tubes? if so what ?

Thank you for this report. I have an RA-100 that I like a lot. All stock tubes for now, but will probably change them out down the road. I've recently been getting some added noise from the amp on the HI channel. A fairly big jump is amp hiss & hum. The gain is about 2 o'clock, and dead silent on th...

Re: Royal Atlantic dead.

The good news is that Mesa warranties their tubes for 90 days. (I think that's right) RA owners need to pay special attention to the HT Fuse. The RA is the first amp I've ever owned, or even heard of, to employ 2 fuses. The HT fuse is designed to fail first, so if your amp starts acting microphonic ...

Re: Royal Atlantic: use onboard reverb or external pedal?

The onboard reverb is nice, however you must assign it to a channel, and it will always be on with that channel selection. The controls are on the back of the amp. If you're ok with that, you're all set. I wasn't, so I use a pedal. No biggie. I'm not a huge reverb user anyway.

Re: Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic RA 100 Rock/Metal

I'm extremely happy with my Stiletto Deuce Stage II, but I'm toying with the idea of buying an RA again and running in stereo with my Stiletto. It's funny, because to me, the RA100 is everything I wanted my Stiletto Deuce II to be. I could never tame the high end, or get enough low mids to my likin...

Re: Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic RA 100 Rock/Metal

I have owned many Boogies over the years. I most recently came from a Roadster head to the RA100. I couldn't be happier with the switch. I loved the Roadster, but the Royal get get very similar high gain tones (especially if you boost it) without all the boomy lows (but still with plenty low end). T...

Re: RA100 noisy reverb

You ever get this fixed? I had a similar issue with noise, and it was preamp tube related. Actually, it was only the first couple days I owned it. It was given a clean bill of health by a Mesa tech. He told me to let the brand new tubes 'burn in' a bit. The problem went away after a day of playing a...

Great clip. Love my RA. It's everything I was hoping the Stiletto would be, and then some.
