Re: Multieffects for Mesa rack

If you don't like the gt pro then stay away from the 10. It's basically the same engine. I have also used the tc gsystem and that is my second favorite after the boss unit. If you are into the tc stuff you'll love the G system. For my ears the pitch shifting is good on the 10 but if you think the gt...

Re: Multieffects for Mesa rack

Boss gt 10. You'll get a multifx + footcontroller in one unit. I have used it with a mk4 and a mesa rectoverb combo with excellent results. Channel switching and the works. Plus you can use it via the 4 cm and set it up so that your drives come infront of the amp and your timebased effects, delay, r...

Re: RA-100=Mark IIC+

I've never played a llc+ but I had a mk lv and I found the RA treading in that territory quite easily.

Re: RA-100=Mark IIC+

Sold my mk4 and was going to save up for a mk V. Went to the store to play the dream amp the V and it was good. In the corner of the booth stood a RA 100 combo. Hmmm what the heck let's give mesas latest brit wannabe a spin. Plugged in dialed in some settings and litterally wet my pants. The RA is t...

Re: Need effects recommendations..... Mark V

I'm using a boss gt 10 with my rectoverb and loving it. But the V is a three channel amp so I would suggest the tc g system. Then you can have access to all channels via the floorboard. But if you only plan on using two channels of the mark V then either a gt 10 or gt 100. Personally I think the 10 ...

Re: Help killing fizz

Hey daisy

That's a cool trick, gotta try that sometime. I usually never use the tonepot and have always deemed it pointless. But mabe there is a use for it after all.

Re: Post your pedalboard

Thanks Geiri. I am looking for another Marshall 1960B. I would then put one Tremoverb on each 4x12. I also want to load them with V30s. I might even consider an X Pattern of G12H-30 and the V30s. Hopefully I will find another Marshall soon. Thanks again. How does the trem sound through the marshall ?

That is I have 1 rectoverb combo and the boss gt 10. It's more than enough for my needs and honest to God out of my 6 previous ...

Re: Who here plays hard rock or metal in E standard?

I've been stuck in drop d and drop d flat depending on the strings for some time now. But I was finishing some studio work for a festival here in Iceland this summer and brought my ibanez with me. Now being me that guitar is drop d flat and has a locking thingy so when I started playing well everyth...

If you haven't noticed, this is really the Metallica, Petrucci fan board. Nobody around here cares about EVH because he doesn't play Boogies.

Re: Help killing fizz

Regarding the fizz; Does somebody know how those high frequenzies work in correlation with volume ? My guess is that if the speaker is pushed, the overall frequenzy response thightens and narrows: i.e because of the physics of the speaker element, the middle gets more "working space" and the very l...
