Re: Mark III NOS Tube Suggestions

I’ve been trying various tube combinations in my III+ DRG with the 105. Last weekend I put in Mesa Russian 2 12ax7’s, 440’s and 447’s and I’m really happy with the way it sounds. I save the 415’s for my 100 watt c+’s. I highly recommend sending your amp to Mesa for the III+/R2 mod. I think that's t...

Re: load attenuator upgrade?

Well, I thought I'd update where I'm at with the attenuator situation... I had a Rivera Rockcrusher and I thought it worked REALLY good. It maintained the essence of the sound of the amp until it was attenuated down to stupid quiet levels, at which point, it sound squished. Not a big surprise. It ha...

Wow, thanks for that. I guess I need to do some more homework. I thought all 2C's were the same. I didn't know about the board differences.

1978 Mesa Boogie Mark I, 1X12 Combo

I'm selling my vintage 1978 Mesa Boogie Mark I 1x12 combo amplifier. The chassis is dated 5/1978 and signed by Randall Smith. This amp is in very good overall condition considering it's now 41 years old. There are a couple of small dings, chips and light scuffs to the vinyl tolex covering but no tea...

WANTED Mark IIB combo amp brown speaker grill

HELP!! I need a brown / wheat colored speaker grill for my Mark IIB combo shell. I don't need a logo, hardware, etc. Will pay a good price (not an obscene one).

Original Mark II C+ vs. Mark II C Conversions, Any Differences?

I'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience playing both an original Boogie Mark IIC+ and a Mark IIC converted to "+" specs? It seems that a lot of the available amps right now are IIC conversions and I'd consider those over an original IIC+ if there was no discernable difference. Also, the...

Re: load attenuator upgrade?

I just ordered a Rivera Rockcrusher for use with my Mark I. That amp really needs some juice before it gets to singing so I needed something to tame the volume and get that singing tone at a more reasonable volume. Once I've had some time with it, I'll report back. It's my understanding that the Riv...

Vintage Mesa Boogie 1x12 Compact Cab w/EV SOLD!!

I'm selling a Mesa Boogie 1X12 compact cabinet. This is one of the older style, Mark III (?) cabinets with the vintage, black elephant grain style tolex. It's in real clean condition and has rarely been used. The speaker is a Mesa branded Electro Voice EV12L. I'm looking for $325 shipped and PP'd.
