Re: How did I blow a 12ax7 so quickly?

I doubt the splitter is related. I have blown tubes in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and have one amp that is 10 years old with the stock tubes. It's a bit of a crap shoot. Kind of like light bulbs.

Re: Roadster Squealing on Ch 3 and 4

Well its back. It went away for a day or 2 and then it kind of cut out and back on and the whining is back bast half gain. I got my new tubes in and completely re-tubed the amp with no difference. Now I am not sure what to do.

Re: Roadster Squealing on Ch 3 and 4

So I thought I would follow-up. I thought the amp I ordered was new old stock turns out it was b-stock which may just be a fancy name for used or really old floor model. It looks mint and still had the tags on it so my mistake. I opened up my mark v 25 and stole 5 of the 6 pre amp tubes and swapped ...

Roadster Squealing on Ch 3 and 4

I just received a new old stock Roadster and turned on channel 1 and man it sounds good warm articulate then channel 2 on brit and gain cranked sounds great. Channel 3 has 60 cycle hum and squeals like a pig with gain less than half on modern. Raw and vintage I can go up to half but still squeals. I...

Re: JP2C not what I expected - tube issue?

richprice79, I'm currently travelling but I'll try to see if I can put something up when I'm back. Would be good if we could compare with identical settings. One thing I'll say is that I have a new appreciation for the Axe FX 3 -- the JP2C model seems closer to the real thing than I would have expe...

New amp day JP2C

So I had one of these when they came out and bills got in the way and had to sell it. I finally was ready to get another one as the limited models are getting scarce. I just got my JP2C in this morning and had to plug it in and share. I made the video unlisted as its just for the forum. You will hav...

Re: JP2C LTD Signatures fading

I know this is an old post but I would like to see a picture. That would be kind of annoying if the signatures disappear. Randall Smith is getting up there in age so he may not be around much longer.

Re: JP2C not what I expected - tube issue?

Glad to hear it's growing on you. I am waiting like a little kid on Christmas for mine to be delivered this morning. You should make a quick clip of yours and share so we can hear how it sounds. I can throw up a quick video of mine as well so you can compare.

Re: JP2C not what I expected - tube issue?

I sold my original JP2C limited last year (I needed money quick) but my memory of it is it having a lot of gain but I also recall that unlike some amps you could dime the gain and it still sounded great. I think they designed the gain knob to be more fully utilized than other amps. I actually just o...

Re: Amp turning off and on again quickly

Well my 2017 Mark V 90 is having the same issue. I don't have any local Mesa repair shops so I called and they recommended I mail it to California from St. Augustine Florida. I asked if they could send me a factory box with the form fitting packing material for a cost and they will do that for aroun...

New Express 5:50 Plus arrived today.

I received my new 5:50 plus combo today and thought I would share my experience. First off I paid 695 shipped and couldn't believe how new it looked when it arrived. It looks brand new and a quick peak at the birth date inside shows it was made in 2016. The first thing I tried was the clean with 50%...

Express 5:50 Plus Combo with extension cab

Good afternoon,

I just purchased a 5:50 plus combo and I am interested in possibly ordering a lonestar 23" cab to sit it on top off. Does anyone have this setup that could post a pic? I just want to see how it would look.
