Re: chassis mounting screws

I have a Mark IV head and rackmount. It don’t know how to measure the threads of the mounting screws. I can measure the length though.

Re: Metal grill 2x12 vertical cab

I only have an IR of a Mesa Half Back. Just got it last week. No in-the-room experience. I believe the HB’s commonly came with an EVM in the sealed bottom and a C90 in the open top.

Re: Just discovered the Electra Dyne. Wow!

Have you DL'd and installed the firmware update for the torpedo live? I like the Britgreen IR and the Greentri IR for greenback tones. I have the Celestion Greenback IR as well but I haven't gotten the same results with it. My other IRs are a couple of REVV IRs, a Celestion with Alnico Blue speaker...

Converting a TC-50 combo to rackmount

I’m guessing that the combo chassis can simply be mounted to the straight front Mesa rackmount frame without issue. Only thing being the reverb tank, naturally. It would be oriented the same as my Electra Dyne rackmount.

Can anyone confirm?

Re: Just discovered the Electra Dyne. Wow!

It's great when you find a new (old) amp that really rattles your cage isn't it lol. Great to hear you've found this gem of an amp. And it's WAY more versatile than some people realize too. You can do SO much with this amp. It appears that you're an EL34 guy, but give 6L6's a try. Oh and crank it a...

Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

I don’t find my Mark IV B terribly dark. Though I don’t have an ‘A’ revision to compare it to. My Mark III red stripe I’ve described as sounding ‘bolder’ than the IV. And the IV has something different going on in the midrange. Overall a bit smoother than the Mark III. But still plenty bright if nee...

I’ve been using the Cali76 Compact Deluxe. A nice pedal for sure, but it ain’t cheap.

Re: JP’s tones on Distance Over Time

Really like his Distance Over Time tones. Especially on "Fall Into the Light", my favorite track on the album. On The Astonishing release, for instance, I thought his rhythm guitar parts were too pushed in the mids. Felt a little unnatural. But my ears can get used to a lot over the course of two di...

Thanks for the info!

About the FX loop, will it still work using the slave out?
Yes, the Slave Out comes after the effects loop in the Mark V, so whatever delay/reverb/etc you have in the loop will be there in the Slave Out signal.

Thanks. I sort of gave up, the external switching wasn't working how I wanted. So I ordered an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo, should be here today!
Nice. They make good stuff. I have their Switch Gizmo and Mini Amp Gizmo.

Re: Mark V + external power amp for quick EL34/6L6 switching?

But the head-tracker or loadbox is required if I run a EL34 power amp from the slave output of Mark V? I thought I had just to plug the power amp in the Slave out and the cabinet in the power amp. Actually, my cabinet have 2 inputs.Should I plug the power amp in one, and the MKV on the other? I don...

Re: Mark V + external power amp for quick EL34/6L6 switching?

Don't Mess Boogie themselves make a piece of equipment to do just this? Isn't that what the amp switcher or whatever it's called does? Yep, the Head-Track! OP, if you want to go that route, you could runt he Slave Out from the Mark V to an EL34 power amp, and use the Head-Track to switch between ei...

Re: Rackmount chassis for DC3

Hey riggles! Thanx for the reply, I actually already saw that page you linked and asked Mesa support about the adaptability of the DC3 head (I took the chassis off the combo) to one of their rackmount sets, but haven’t got any answer so far... I guess the width should fit, what I’d like to have ans...
