Re: Building Mark iii Footswitch help

Any resistor value from 1.5k up is fine as a current limiting resistor for an LED. The thing is that LEDs range in value of brightness as measured in Lumens. What you need to do is try different value resistors until you get it to a similar brightness to your Red one. Did you know you can shave resi...

Re: Wrapping my head around the infamous 105-PT

My take is that the X101 is spongier and compresses up a little bit nicer than the 105 which is bolder and more high headroom.

Love it!
Those transformers are huge aren't they!

What do you suppose the difference in designation might mean between mine having a dot/dash and yours having an 'X'?

I was hunting something like this for a long time - started out fixated on a IIC+ (which may happen down the track) and had my old MKIII Blue Stripe to go on (which I sold and regretted almost immediately! haha). After a couple phone calls to Mesa I decided to go for this.  She came to me in great s...

Haha, currently it's in Lismore but on the way.
I'm getting a custom headshell made, will meet with the builder when the amp arrives.

That No Stripe I'm on about is getting more tempting!

Re: Mark III schematic

Wow, I looked at that table...Jesus Christ that's some work you've put into that amp. Incredible really. The amp I'm looking at is interstate, so I'd have to buy it first, which I'm hesitant about a little. It has a tiny little vertical black line above the power cord and Pull Rhythm 2 is hand engra...

Re: Mark III schematic

Mate - outstanding work.
I'm this close to buying a very early export/Simul No Stripe, but I'm wondering if I should hold out for a C+.
If they're that close though...

Re: Mark III schematic

Do we have a legible IIC+ schematic we could compare this to?
