Re: Eventide H9 Coloring Tone in FX Loop

Does the H9 accept line level signal? Silly question probably but thought I'd ask. Hi and thanks for the reply. It does accept line level signals or instrument levels. Probably one of the reasons for it being fully DSP. It analyzes the signal and adjusts for appropriate levels. The control app even...

Ports on Some Recto Vertical Slant 2 x 12 Cabs?

I have a MkV with the Vertical Slant 2x12 Recto Cabinet (closed back). I have seen quite a few pictures of 2x12 Vertical Slant Recto cabs with the metal grills (which makes it easy to see the baffle) that have two vertical slots or ports on either side of the bottom speaker. I don't think mine has t...

Re: What is with the annoying pop up ads

Strange, my iPad in portrait mode has the banner very small like you stated, but in landscape it is more than 1/3 of the page, almost 1/2 of it I did just see one of the “inline” ads (inserted between the posts and scrolls with them) that was about 1/3rd of the page! But the pop-up window type that...

Eventide H9 Coloring Tone in FX Loop

I wonder if anyone has any advice or insight to offer about an H9 in my FX Loop that is slightly coloring the tone when engaged. First here is a demo of the difference in sound with some comments posted for when the effect is turned on and off. If I had to describe it I would almost say it is a litt...

Re: What is with the annoying pop up ads

On my iPad, in landscape orientation, the banner is about 1” tall. So maybe 1/7th or 1/6th of the screen so not too much of a problem. It is smart though and with the keyboard displayed, it moves up so when typing a post in, there is only about 2” remaining in view. My complaint, initially, was more...

Re: What is with the annoying pop up ads

At least now it has some ads from recognizable companies. So it doesn’t feel so sketchy.

Re: What is with the annoying pop up ads

YES! I started seeing these yesterday or the day before maybe. I don’t mind advertising but these seem almost suspicious like click-bait. Maybe if I click “Nah” it will leave me alone...? No, I know better than that... Any respectable advertiser would know that type of ad would scare actual p...

Re: New Mark V 25- Volume Dropout Problem

I have had my MV for about five years now. I think I am on the 4th set of power tubes. It seems to me, that every time I put in new tubes or even when the amp was brand new or when I swap inner and outer pairs, I get some strange noises and behaviors occasionally during the first five or ten hours (...

Re: Older Mark V 90w vs New Mark V 90w

It is worth considering what a warranty is worth. $500 is right in that sweet spot where it makes it a hard decision. $300 wouldn’t be enough savings to not get a warranty. $700 probably would be worth it. Don’t forget to consider how old the tubes are also. Either way It’s a great amp.

Re: Anybody got some settings to try for a 7 string?

I have an Ibanez RG 7 string and I use CH3 IIC+ mode in Bright with the Treble and Mid at 12:00 and the Bass at about 9:30. The Presence and Gain at about 1:30 and the GEQ in the “V”, of course. This was similar to the sound on Dark Eternal Night (Dream Theater). BUT!,... Not until I lowered the act...

Re: MKV EQ switching issue - please help

If you unplug the foot switch, do the switches on the front panel work correctly?
It might help narrow down the problem to the foot switch, cable, or switches on the panel.

Re: Problems with your Mark V...it's you.

In all fairness it should be mentioned that while it is true that the Mark V should get you very close to just about any sound out there, there are SO MANY other things that go into the equation of the sound. ONE of those things is the player, including all the nuances from the pick and the attack o...

Re: Mark V question for newbie

Given that I have no interest in playing for a living and so my future consists of the weekly classic rock and blues jam with friends and possibly playing a few songs as a guest in a small venue, I dont need anything like a Mark V.; 90W is overkill. I would think a MKV 25 or 35 would work because o...

Re: Just bought a Mark V 90 watt combo. Have some questions not answered in the manual.

Let me first say that I can’t answer any of your questions with certainty but I will offer my 2 cents (I have had my MV for about 5 years now). I don’t think any of the switch changes require standby or shutdown. Some may cause a pop which I always found uncomfortable or made me nervous but most of ...
