As far as the output transformer being a huge part of the factor for that pre500 tone.. that seems to be more of a rumor than anything. No rumor. Actually, the popular misconception seems to be that the different transformer plays no part. But when you look at them, the circuit changes from C -> D ...

Re: Thinking of sending my 2 channel Recto to mesa... Though

I know that Mesa can offer a revision change to the earlier 2 channel revision G amps. I would just contact them and explain what you are looking for. As far as the output transformer being a huge part of the factor for that pre500 tone.. that seems to be more of a rumor than anything.

Transition revision G, and possible problems

Re: Road King II- Good Price?

I bought my Roadster used at a Guitar Center for $1200 or $1300 (its been a few years), I have see used ones pop up as low as 1k but thats been fairly rare. I believe that a good rule of thumb is half the price of the amp new. As a side note. I love the roadster, its an amazing amp.

2 Channel Rectio identification help, and repair help PICS

Hello everyone! First post. I picked up this early 2 channel rectifier for a really good deal. The guy I got it off of was up front about the fact that it would require a bit of work but I had played on this amp before and knew what it sounded like so I jumped at the opportunity. From what Ive been ...
