Re: after two years, JP2C rules over and over!

I have had mine now for a year and two months, This holiday week end I sat down and fine tuned it. I and the band were really happy with the tone set up up to this point but now its even better. Just when you think you've reached the top it goes and gets better with just a bit of minor tweaking. And...

Re: Midi Controller

Not a perfect solution , but I use a voodoo lab ground control plugged into the footswitch out with a 7 pin midi cable. As the foot controller is just a midi switch and the two extra pins provide power for the ground control. I use it as 4 scenes or programs and 8 cc switches so I can ala carta my s...

Re: Using Midi AND the amp footswitch together

Stimp The answer I got on this was incase it does something to damage either piece of gear, Midi or JP2C or the foot switch. The JP2C foot switch is a midi controller and is a parallel connection to the Midi in and Thru, according to Mesa support thus it will work with a 5 pin Midi cable yet with no...

Re: Stepdown Transformer help

I am never sure about these things, this looks right. I would send mesa an email asking what they recommend for US gear usage in Australia.

Re: New Owner Checking in like what I found so far.

Rich I think you'll find that the JP-2C will be the easiest of all the Mark amps to dial in.
Welcome to the thread, I look forward to reading a review as to how it compares to the Mark V 25 with its tone and easy of use.

Re: New Owner Checking in like what I found so far.

This amp is a big success for me. To the fact that I sold my Quad today, not that the Quad wouldn't do what I needed, just was more work to get there. The Quad could be a great studio piece, but my needs are playing now. I simply cannot find much fault with JP-2C. Every tone I want is there and more...

Re: Quad Switching with 1/4" Jacks

I just asked this ? at a local music store. You would build the patch to send multi signals at once, on to turn on a channel one to turn off. It actually should not be that hard, as well as being able to send a signal at the same time to switch on eq, or reverb on off , or boost, as well as turn on ...

Re: New Owner Checking in like what I found so far.

Why yes you can , I am still working on my knowledge from the Quad. So I may have to school up on midi controller for this amp. Thanks for the heads up Iron, Still just getting into the JP2C in the raw, using no effects other than the built in reverb. It does an awesome Triptykon, Type O Negative, a...

Re: New Owner Checking in like what I found so far.

Ok , could not wait to a b these rigs, so I jumped at it to day at home. http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Lokaire/Rigs%20a%20vs%20b.jpg The Quad into a BK Butler ProValve in to the custom 2x12 The JP2C into a Mesa vert 2x12 recto cab. The cleans from the JP2C are just shinier and bit more robus...

New Owner Checking in like what I found so far.

Hello All I am a new JP2C owner, I come from a Mesa Quad back around and still love the quad alot, but wanted a newer Mesa. I must say so far only about an hour on it, I am still dialing in my clean channel, but the potential is blowing me away. I used the Instant Grat Settings , man channel 2 is de...

Re: Having 2 problems with my Quad preamp. Any ideas?

The volume swells are most likely tube on its way out. The switching could be a dirty connector mine was acting weird a couple of months back and once I cleaned the connection with contact cleaner it was working perfect again. My quad uses the FU-2A .

Re: New here, Have owned my quad for a few years.

Thanks Jedi for the welcome, this board seems to be slower then when I bought my quad in 09. I lurked just to find info back then. I really like my quad, I didn't like it thru a 90/90(volume control and seemed to impossible to get power tube break up). I tried a 20/20 for a day, never really got int...

New here, Have owned my quad for a few years.

Ok I am new here, but been playing for a about 20 some years. Just now rediscovering my Quad, its been racked with a korg tuner and TubeWorks B.K Butler Provalve (50 watts a side 6l6 power amp). In to 2 2x12s vertical cabs one mesa recto and one custom designed by me and built by LOPO, and I use a f...
