Re: Mark V:25 with the Freyette Power Station 2

No worries. The power station will more or less be acting as a buffer between your amp and cab. Therefore, the power station will basically soak up your amps wattage and re-amplify with its own power. However, you're not going to hear a significant increase in volume than from the amp direct to the ...

Re: Lack of Power on Channel 1 - troubleshooting advice?

I would check v1 and v3 preamp tubes first. V3b is solely for ch1 so could be a dud half of a tube causing your issue.

Re: Mark V:25 with the Freyette Power Station 2

If the power station is 50w and your cab is rated to 60w then theres no chance of overloading it.

Re: Mark V + external power amp for quick EL34/6L6 switching?

Don't Mess Boogie themselves make a piece of equipment to do just this? Isn't that what the amp switcher or whatever it's called does?

I would say that this is as good a place as any to pose your question, you will soon be driving it with a Mk V:25 after all! Cant speak as to the cab or speakers in question as i have neither of those, but, the Mk V sounds glorious through my setup so I'm sure you'll enjoy it through yours!

Re: Question About Mark V 25 Head

I'm very confident you're going to love it. I'd wanted a boogie, specifically one of the Mark series, ever since I first heard Master of Putters back in the eighties but could never afford one. Finally 6 (ish) years ago a landed in a position where I could afford one nd have never looked back. Sure ...

Re: Question About Mark V 25 Head

Chappers comments were a bit misleading in my opinion, I would say it's more accurate tosay that the Mk 5,25 is not "solely" a bedroom amp but more than capable of hanging with a full band. To second Markageddon, and he should know, these amps can definitely drop down very quiet with a tweak to your...

Re: Mark V: No Front Lights, No Fan, Just a Hum from the Speaker

I'm no electrical expert but I would say it's the nature of the beast unfortunately. It's a very complicated price of equipment with hundreds of parts in a very harsh environment. Components can and do fail, in all amps. What country are you in? I would recommend using an official service centre, bu...
