Re: Carvin amps... what do you think??

I love my V3, its one of the older ones, probably got it 6 months after they started making them. Ordered the matching 4X12 loaded with vintage 30's and the footswitch also at the same time. Works great, sounds phenomenal for a lot of different stuff, great build quality. I have been through a lot o...

Re: Tremoverb for Metal

Everyone that has heard the extreme range of styles that I can pull out of that amp is just amazed. (not because of my playing lol) I agree the fun part is watching fellow guitar players expressions when they see its a mesa boogie, and it says DUAL RECTIFIER...... heh heh.... and then I tell them it...

Re: Mark IV for Slayer, Heavy Metal sound or Tremoverb??

Honestly I believe you will find the tremoverb perfectly suited for what you need from what you have described. As others have stated the right pickups and instrument also matter some. I have active pickups in my fender jim root telecaster and that thing nails metallica and justice for all sounds pl...

Re: What's your favourite Ibanez guitar for metal?

Ibanez 2027 XVV

Only Ibanez I have left, apparently from what I have been told it is slightly rare and highly desired. I have never heard another Ibanez or any other 7 string for that matter sound as good.

Re: Screaming Demon Pickup

I put one in the neck of my carvin califonia carve top with a gibson iommi in the bridge. I kept the three way but removed the push pull split and disconnected the tone pot. Straightforward but killer tones! I love it for everything from funk to metal. Try it in the neck with something else a bit wa...

Re: wah wahs

Re: Tremoverb for Metal

My first post! I recently scored a tremoverb as well. So far I am completely blown away at the range of tones. Yes, this amp can do metal no problem, 70's 80's 90's and beyond without any pedals. Of course this is only my opinion and we all now about opinions! LOL I am probably the worst mongrel/mut...
