Re: Tubes for a Mess Boogie Mark Series Amp

In my MK1, I use NOS Sylvania 6L6's and Mesa preamp tubes. I also have tried recent issue Mesa 6L6's in this amp and they sound good. For the newer MKV25 I use Mesa tubes across the board.

Re: Post your rig - part 3

Thanks! That's a custom valance from Harvey Reams Woodworking. I found him on the Dr Z forum as he does a lot of front panels for Z's (I have one on my Z-Wreck). I contacted him and he whipped this one up for me. Harvey does fantastic work! Here's his FB page: https://www.facebook.com/harveyreamswoo...

I just did my first post as well. Been a Boogie user since 1978 (yeah I'm old!) though.

Re: Sold my Mark V heres why (lengthy)

I sold my MkV this month, but it wasn't because of poor tone. It always delivered the goods. For me, I just didn't need or want to carry around a 90w all tube amp anymore…….I ain't gettin' any younger! I used the funds to buy the MkV 25. Love it!
