Re: Replacing Power Tubes in a solo 150w head

As long as they are replaced in pairs (2,4,6) you shouldn't have any issues. If you buy Mesa tubes in the same color code, you don't even really have to worry about keeping them paired. I have never tried mixing color codes on Mesa amps, but even their most extreme mismatch is still closer than the...

Re: Mesa F-30

TNTRoy, I hope you get some replies and don't feel I'm hijacking your tread! I just bought a used F30 last week and am having the same problem. Even the plates inside one of the power tubes were glowing. It may have even been too loud for the volume setting but sounds fantastic though until the vol...

Re: Mesa F-30

I have also noticed it is noisy on all channels when the volume is up on the amp with no pedals only guitar pluged in with the volume turned down on the guitar. I am using a Gibson SG guitar 2013 with no mods.

Re: Mesa Boogie F30 or Studio Caliber

I have a F-30 and love it. it is lightweight, sounds huge when cranked, two sets of controls, mine came with a footswitch. When I got it I was a little worried if it would do metal and it gets a good Metallica tone for metal. I love the Classic rock tone out of it because mostly I play AC/DC style m...

Re: Why is the F series not more popular?

I have had a F-30 for a couple of weeks. liking it so far but the crunch and contour channels are noisy. Even with my noise gate.. is there any fix for this? and I barley have the gain past 1/4 turn. I also have a Rectoverb 50 combo and it isn't as noisy as the F-30.

Re: Mesa Boogie Studio .22+

Guess that it depends upon the band and your volumes. I got back into a band 12 years ago after a 20 year hiatus. I picked up a road-worn Mesa Boogie Studio 22+. Loved the tone of the Studio and it was my favorite Mesa (owned 4 different models) until recently buying a Mark IIB. The little Studio w...
