Re: Upgrading from Mark V 25 to Mark V
I tend to live in channel 2 (all modes) with the MV 90w. I need to spend more time in channel 3 to get it to my tastes. Channel 1 is awesome as well. Still learning this beast, kind of fun I like !

Re: Best Speakers For Stiletto Ace
I like the way my Stiletto Trident sounds through G12H's. Got balls.
Re: Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'
reganjeremy. I'm using a Mesa Recto 4 X 12" with 4 V-30's. It's 10 years old and speakers are well worn in. I like it. I do use the effects loop with an EQ, EQ is off but loop is active. I'd like to try different speaker combo's when $ permit but for now I'm liking it. I also have an EVH 2x12 cab wi...
Re: Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'
Hi. I've recently purchased a new Mk5 90W head. Channel 1 and 2 are impressive, channel 3 not so much. So, the quest begins here in this thread.... I've read quite a bit of the content here but not all 50+ pages. I swapped in mesa 12at7's into V4 and V6 and a (SPX into V1 to try to help noise reduct...

Re: V1 tube ridicule
?? So you can grab it and not have to dis assemble anything else ?? My guess. Good luck getting the tube back in and the shield back on without removing the tank. I did it once, the very first time re seating all of the tubes. The second time I was dropping an SPAx7 into V1 and I couldn't get it sea...

Re: V1 tube ridicule
Agreed. Blind assembly is a knuckle bleeder. I have left DNA in my head after the tube re seat. Dis assembling the reverb tank requires a low profile Phillips ratchet on the one screw, same side as V1. Learned that after struggling... Re assembling the reverb tank is also a PITA due to the double sp...

Re: Post your rig - part 3
Not sure how to crop this pic down a bit but here's the new setup. I've had the Stiletto and 4x12 since 2009. New MV 90W purchased last month. I split out stereo from a TC Nova Delay. Just getting used to how to balance the 2 out. Clean settings are working out the best so far. The Mark 5 is a beast...

Mark V NAD
As a Stiletto Trident Stage 1 for the last 10 years, I've finally stepped up and into a Mark 5 90W. She sits atop of a 4X12 Recto Cab and the Stiletto sits on a 2X12 G12H. I spent a good 2 hours Friday night dialing this MV in and I have to say AWESOME. Clean channel 1 is beautiful. Mark1 mode in ch...

Re: Is there such a thing as a Stiletto Trident Stage II?
I have a Stage I Trident. I've never played through a Stage II, but from what I gather (here in this forum), the II is more like a modded JCM800 and the I is more like a modded Plexi ?

Mesa Tube Prices
Just purchased a pair of Mesa EL-34's. Price is up to $65.00. Bought 2 sets of pairs back in early September and they were $59.00. Anyone have a clue ? Low supply ? More expensive source ? Economy doing better ?

Re: Amp sounds weak after complete tube swap, help!
sorry, I don't have an answer and I hope your problem is fixed. I just find it surprising that with 130 views of your post and not one response. I have a tube question in the Modern Amp area, 50 views and not one response.

Re: Stiletto Trident power tube question
Tons of traffic in here. Ended up replacing all pre amp tubes, did not fix the noise issue. Found another bad power amp tube, almost went into full meltdown mode
, replaced 2 of the three pairs with matched duets . So far, so good.

Stiletto Trident power tube question
I found 1 bad tube of a matched pair (outer pair) that was bad. I replaced it with a good el34 but it's not matched. This is only temporary, about 4 days. Will this be an issue ? Will be getting matched pair next week.

Re: New owner of a Stiletto Deuce stage I. Couple questions.
I am a proud owner of a Stiletto Trident, Stage 1. The late tube amp I owned before this one was a HiWatt Custom 100 (wish I had that thing back). Sorry for the late post, I don't get in here much.
