Rocket 440 weight

Can anyone tell me how much the Rocket 440 weighs? I've looked all over the internet and have found just about every other spec on it, but not the weight.....

Re: Vertical Halfback 2x12

Replacement casters are easy to find as they are still being made. I may even have a spare kicking around. Send a PM if interested. I appreciate the offer, but since I've got the 4 wheel dollie to move it, I don't really have any use for the casters. Thanks again! About how heavy is it? Is it made ...

Re: Vertical Halfback 2x12

What a great find...and even better price! It looks a lot like my '89 with the same handles and mono input jack. I have 2 C-90s in one of mine and have for several years. Sounds great. It really changes character if you close the top of the cab, too. Highly recommended mod. Enjoy! Thanks! I...

Vertical Halfback 2x12

Last weekend I picked up a vertical Halfback 2x12 loaded with 2 C90s. Its in really nice condition, with only minor scuffs here and there, missing a caster, and a little dirty. I only paid $275 for it, so the missing caster and being dirty didn't bother me much at all. I cleaned it up, took the othe...

Re: DC-2 speaker change?

OK, so I got this Mesa Boogie DC-2 a couple of months ago. Its a 1x12, EL84 combo with the stock Mesa Vintage Black Shadow speaker in it. I really like it, but the dirt channel (which I use most) is a little boxy and mid-rangy. I've never been one to mess with tubes/speaker/etc on amps, but I'm thi...

Mini size delay

I don't use delay much and don't have much real estate on my board for one, so a mini pedal is going to have to work. I saw the Mooer Reecho the other day and it seems like it would work, especially for the price. Any other suggestions that are reasonably priced?

Re: DC-2 question

OK, I've had a lot more time to tweak the DC-2 and have found the in it almost exactly what I have been looking for......Of course new power tubes did worlds of good for it, but this morning I tried turning the gain down to 5 (it was at about 8) and the master output up to 10 and running both other ...

Re: DC-2 question

Got it! Switched some of the preamp tubes around and now all is well. At LOUD volumes there is a slight bit of hiss, but its not any worse than any of my other amps, but at moderate volumes, its negligible. But the hum is completely gone, so I'm happy. Thank you again AB for your help, VERY much app...

Re: DC-2 question

No flourescents, monitors, etc.....Power tubes are brand new Mesa (yellow). Its cooling off now and I'll mess with the preamp tubes and try again. Thanks for the input AB!!

Re: DC-2 question

OK......I had a chance to play it more this evening and while it sound MUCH better, it still has a pretty noticeable hum. The louder you turn it up, the louder the hum. Any suggestions on that?

Re: DC-2 question

MUCH better! Much more clarity and punch. I've still got some tweaking to do to get it dialed in exactly the way I want, but big difference with new tubes!

Re: The Official DC Club

I own an F-100 that I've had for about 6 months or so and just picked up a DC-2 last week. I'm still tweaking the DC-2, but so far I'm very happy with it.
