Re: DC-5b Channel/EQ Foot Switch

Switch Doctor sells a dual switch that uses a TRS cable, not a standard patch cable.
See my thread on 'footswitch question'

I've been using mine a while now and it works like a charm.

DC5b volume mod...with pics!

So my amp's been ear-blasting loud at gigs with the Global Master just barely on at 1, and same with both channel volumes. Decided to do the volume mod and pop a 12AT7 in v1 to tame the gain channel, and the results are amazing! It's a much more user-friendly amp now, and the gain channel is smoothe...

Re: latest pedalboard

Thanks elvis.

Well, looks like I'll have to take another pic shortly, as there's been more changes.

Mesa for my Mesa!

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b132/FLYINGV83/507fe6ff-bba3-4b34-acdd-aa5f90ce1f12.jpg This takes my DC5 to a whole new level! I use the amp's EQ as a solo punch, and was never really thrilled with it's gain channel without the EQ. Now I have that sound in this pedal, in spades no less, and can ...

latest pedalboard

OK, I know since we have Mesa amps we're not supposed to need dirt pedals, right?

Sorry I don't fit the mold......

Speed OFF
Depth 2 o'clock
Feedback 1 o'clock
Delay 11 o'clock
toggle up (flanger)

I've used the Extreme Victory toneprint with good results too.

Re: Getting sweet tone from my DC-5 & OCD

I see you made your way here too, Jarga. Welcome! You should try running the amp without the "choker" on it. I run mine in the clean channel, gain on 10, vol on 4. Makes a great platform for all my dirt pedals. I run the gain channel w/gain on 2.5, vol on 3. Master volume is @ 1.5 for practice, 2 fo...

Re: DC5 (now with pics!) and another footswitch question

Thanks for the tips Edward! I tried getting a nice "basic crunch" from the clean channel using the volumes, but I really like it more as a base tone for my pedals, and use the EQ as a solo punch if needed. Everyone in the band says the Mesa is a huge improvement in my tone, and it's actually very ma...

Re: DC5 (now with pics!) and another footswitch question

Hey Tom, Haven't noticed any low end loss at all, it still has that "whump" to it. :D Still on the fence about the U-channel, couldn't find anything decent at Home Depot. The stand has two uprights which brace against the lower panel only, and trust me, NO ONE gets near my gear at gigs! (you think f...

Here's my new gigging rig set up in my basement (sorry, not a 'glamour shot' at all :) ) http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b132/FLYINGV83/100_1665.jpg Here's the Switch Doctor switch (got it 5 days after ordering) mounted on the board, and the old channel switch renamed for it's new duties: http://i...

Re: DC5 (now with pics!) and another footswitch question

Hi Tom! Guess we're one of the few regulars left on the TF boards, huh? Did my first gig with the DC5 on Friday and it sounded great! Had the channel volumes @ 3 & master just below 2 and it was drowning out the band. :D Graphic EQ works great as a volume/solo punch, will probably use it that way. D...
