Re: Combo Shell for JP2C

Yes, it will fit in a Mark combo cabinet. I've done it. Here's the same headshell with a Mark IIC++ and then a JP2C. https://live.staticflickr.com/7846/45855568565_2159eb2fb0_w.jpg JP-2C checkerboard face plate by John Bazzano , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/4870/46708311681_b5b823415a_w.j...

Re: Mark V:25 with an MXR 10 Band EQ?

Metallica used a parametric EQ for Master of Puppets. Extra bees a buzz', I love Dimebag's tone so I would encourage trying the GEQ anyway.

Re: Thoughts on the Mesa "Boogie"

Here's a recent (11/27/2019) video of my Mark IIC++ at the lowest volume, 0.0 on the master volume. If you like Metallica & Pantera, this amp is good for that.

Re: Need logo plate for .50 Caliber+ (also did presence mod)

I've re-covered heads and cabinets before in including the wicker grill. The key to getting the old tolex off is having the right stripper, I use wood glue to soften the old glue. The key to wicker is to get it wet for a least 2 hours in a bucket and then not to over stretch it when stapling it to t...

Re: Thoughts on the Mesa "Boogie"

 Um, dude, you're arguing with MESA/Boogie, yes, that MESA/Boogie, the company that makes MESA/Boogie amps. It's the equivalent of arguing with god over clouds & sunshine. This is one battle you cannot win on this, "The Boogie Board", it can't happen here. Wrong place, try here instead - The ...

Envious, Jealous and very glad you sent the amp back. There's absolutely 0% chance that it sounds anything but great.

Mark IIC++ not for sale

good news, for now. I still have it listed on Reverb if you’re really interested. I am getting close to pulling that off there too, fingers crossed.

You can look at the sun, just don’t stare. You can have lots of fun, just don’t, go, there!

Re: Mark series (IIB specifically) settings question

If you want the cleanest tone, you want the Master as high as you can have it without the amp being too loud. You have Volume 1 at 7, put it at 3 tops, the lower, the cleaner. I would bring the Presence knob up to around 8 which will open up the amp and I would keep the Treble down to around 5 as yo...

Re: Boogie Mark 2B Coliseum = animal!!!!!

I did ship the amp in the cabinet, double boxed with plywood to protect it from any kind of damage. I wish I could've kept it but I pocketed $1,500.00 on the deal that took a total of maybe 4 hours to pick it up and ship it. I also made a few bucks on a quad of 1968 celestion greenbacks. Some money ...

Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

Curious to which channel is the one awesome channel. The clean and lead channels are grail tone all day on a Mark 4. I haven't found any amp that goes where a Mark 4 goes on ch.1 & 3. (I use ch.2 the most when playing live!)

Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

I have a transition Mark 4 that has A & B elements. It knocks off any Mark amp I've owned. It's different than the other Mark 4's I've owned. It rules. When I bought it my drummer exclaimed, "Wow! That is the best amp you've ever used! My God, what a sound!" I will fire up the C++ every so often jus...
