Re: F.S Mark ll C+ HX Head (recapped by Mike B. at boogie)

This is a great deal!! This amp will go toe-to-toe with any amp out there. Throw a PEQ or GEQ with a reverb & lead boost pedal in the loop = Monster amp IMO. Great deal!!! Yeah Markedman, many otbers feel the same way you do. I got a huge response to the amp lot of people said they wanted it, but y...

Re: Reverb behaving like gain

I had an original C+ that did something very similar. It's like the reverb knob worked as volume one. Except for with the reverb knob on 10 I had no sound at all. But as I turned the reverb knob down towards zero, the volume came up as well as the gain. And when I got the reverb knob to zero it was ...

Re: John Sykes tone with a Heartbreaker?

Hey Buster Leggs, Thanks for replying :) I kind of would like to stick to the 6L6's in there ( its a hold over from playing a '76 Twin for so many years) I watched the whole video front to back, and it is a good general starting point for sure. If anyone eles has any other thoughts it's be apprecia...

Re: Radio noise in my new/used Lonestar Special

I've had this happen to a C+ that was two years old in the mid-eighties. But it only happened at this one bar that we played at every other weekend. And even then it would only pick up radio frequencies once a month or so. It wasn't very loud and soon as I started to play through the amp it was inau...

Re: John Sykes tone with a Heartbreaker?

Hello I was hoping someone out there would have an opinion on finding a John Sykes tone with my Heartbreaker. I'm speaking specifically Thin Lizzy John Sykes ( Thunder and Lightning era) and solo recordings. I'm aware in Lizzy he used Marshall's, but used Boogies later to get a similar, if not high...

Re: F.S. Factory HRG Mark ll C+, NOS 415's & Preamp Tubes

With all those tubes, and that speaker, that is a very good price. It will be gone soon. If I needed another one in the stable, I would be all over it. Good luck with the sale! Yeah I probably could have got a little bit more juice out of that grape. But I'm a man of my word so I'm sticking to it. ...

Re: Who makes Mark IIB Head Cabinets

I bought a headshell for a Mark 'll C+ from GTS, a fellow board member who many on this forum have also purchased head shells from. I believe the Mark llB would fit in the same headshell but if it dose differ in any way I'm sure he could still accommodate you. Get a hold of him, he'll send you a pri...

Re: Comprehensive Mesa Boogie Cathode Follower list?

Mike customized it for a friend/employee. After the conversation with him, I wished I would have asked him if he had ever done that before for anyone. I'm sending a different one to California to get it recapped and looked over, I'll remember to ask Mike had that ever been done before or since when ...
