Re: The potential of the underrated 3ch Dual Rectifier!

I've had mine since 2006. Got it used, I think it was made in 2000, 2001.

Great amp.

Re: Help installing tubes in a Rev G

Definitely check out the manual, but as far as installing them, its a good idea to wear gloves so you don't get any oil from your fingers on them. The matched 6L6s will go in the two interior and two exterior slots like 1,2,2,1 where the 1s are one pair and the 2s are another pair. When you install ...

Re: Capacitor replacement on mesa boogie amps

Eventually they may need to be replaced. My Dual Rec is about 20 years old and still has the original caps.

Re: Rectoverb 25 : Fade/gap problem when switching channels

I know switching through the channels a couple times before playing seems to help the popping, does that help the fade problem you experience?

Re: Rectoverb 50 Combo Fizzy Distortion

To me, gain at 2-3 oclock is 'crazy.' I know that is totally up to preference.

The treble (high) EQ stage is very sensitive too. Perhaps try rolling back the treble and presence too and see how that sounds.

Re: Single Rectifier Solo Head Version 2

I'm glad to hear. The Tung Sol in v1 is a pretty universal preference, myself included.

Enjoy the amp!

Re: Output vs. Master (nomenclature question)

For the Dual Rec anyways, they have the individual channels 'Master' volume and the output and solo levels. Since the solo/output function is not always active, it makes sense not to call that the 'master' volume.

I have not heard either way if there are revisions of the multi-watt rectos.

Re: Help With Triple Rect Year Built, Serial Number, Generat

Is this a multiwatt model?

If not, it's got to be late into the run of the original 3 channel, probably made about 10 years ago or so.

You can pull the chassis to get the date of manufacture.

Re: Single Rectifier Problem

Is the FX level knob on the back of the amp turned all the way up? If so, try rolling it back a little bit.

Re: Annoying bass thump with pick attack - Subway Rocket

Does this happen with multiple guitars as well? If this has been an issue with other amps, it could be the guitar or the way you play.

Re: Plugged speaker cab into slave out - how screwed am I?

It sounds like an expensive mistake. My tip to help avoid this type of thing (and to allow for quicker set up) is that I bought different colored electrical tape and for example, wrapped a piece of white electrical tape around the plug of my speaker cable and put a piece of white tape above and belo...
