Re: How to get clear 3D room filling sound

Fuzz sounds good when your amp is really loud and the fuzz is cranked. Then use your guitars volume knob to control the fuzz. Only then shall you cut through the mix. If you play in a on bass player and drummer. With guitar volume turned down it should clean up. But not clean clean. Stand about 15' ...

Re: Fender Dual Showman Reverb

I don't think the showman is still in production. Its a high powerd twin type of amp. I think the newest one I saw was a silver face. They are pricey. And I've never recall seeing a reverb version. The twin had reverb. The showman didn't. Try a vintage fender amp forum search. There is one with all ...

Re: Why Dumble?

I always heard the Dumble amps kinda sounded like a silverface and a blackface cranked alitttle, but then you have people say ohhh the cleans. All the ones I've heard have been recorded and they sound like a fender just breaking up. I get that they are rare but come on just the same old bassman circ...

Re: Anybody Use A Plexiglass Shield Or Similar?

Nope never used one. Saw Derrek Trucks with one last summer. His tone sounded thin and compressed... Then he kicked it down and turned it up!!!! There it was Derrek Trucks was back!!!!!! Wish I. Would have recorded it. The tone was like night and day. Not a big Bonamossa?? fan..to much reverb and ec...

Re: Anybody Roll Without OD Pedals?

I used to use them but back then all I had was my 67' bandmaster.
Since I got my 50watt Soldano, no pedals.
Since I got my mark V no pedals. OK ,ok I lied. I need my RMC wah ,tuner and delay for spacey out there sh!t. Kinda how Tim Rynolds used his.

Re: Mesa not going to NAMM this year...

I think NAMM has become a showcase for perspective dealers. Last time I talked to a shop owner he said even his pass was good for so much. He was not a Gibson or fender diamond dealer and had to be to get in certain areas. So I guess Mesa kind doesn't need to be there. They have the following and I'...

Re: first reaction to my V

I found turning off the reverb,EQ,effects loop and master made it easier to tune. Don't use all that sh!t anyway. It still took awhile to find my tones or what I wanted to hear. The biggest thing was using my ears instead of my eyes. Have fun might take about a week but its do able.

Re: Mark V speaker question??

The C-Rex is working good. Nice out of the box. Not shrill at all. Tamed the highs that the MV can have. Nice thick lows ,thick mids ,highs are there but smooth out Even my Bustbucker 2&3 equipt les Paul standards ear piercing high have calmed down a bit. All my les Paul's are wired 50's style indep...

Re: Mark V speaker question??

Yes ...serious my looking at the C90. Also the cab is same dimension s as the widebody 1x12. Gonna be a grab n go cab. With a speaker that won't blow in 90 watt mode.cause you all know at some point I'm gonna need full power to get that cone moving. Any one use any other speakers besides the C90 and...
