Re: Strange reverb issue with TA30 1x12 combo

Thanks for your help. No the loop works fine- in fact though I don't tend to use effectsloops much nowadays, I'd say this one is possibly the best most transparent I've experienced. It really is like a microphone just going over the next edge into feedback and only when the reverb is on full and onl...

Strange reverb issue with TA30 1x12 combo

Just picked one up recently and it is a truly wonderful amp. Not experiencing any noise issues with the loop/ reverb apart from one minor niggle that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else. I wondered if anyone else had in fact had this problem and if they had managed to fix it. Only on the Red (Twe...

Re: TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

I found a TA30 1 x12 combo a few weeks ago to partner my Lonestar in a stereo set up. It is truly wonderful. Everything I hoped for and more. I don't tend to use FX loops and use a Ventris for reverb, so I wasn't concerned about the notorious noise issues. Having tested it out, I do have to report t...

Re: Differences in tone 1x12 vs 2 x12 with LSC. Opinions sou

Thanks for the response. Whatever cab I go for will be open backed as is the existing combo. I'll also be using the existing stock speaker(s) for now at least, which I'm quite happy with. It really is about what effect the size of the enclosure/ using 1 speaker rather than two will have. I'm getting...

Differences in tone 1x12 vs 2 x12 with LSC. Opinions sought.

Finally I've decided to to have my beloved LSC 2 x 12 combo converted to a head and cab, as I can no longer cope with the weight of the combo. My final decision is whether to go with a 2 x 12 cab, or use only one of the speakers in a 23" wide 1 x 12 format. The 1 x 12 option appeals again primarily ...

Which amp- past/ current or non- Mesa is closest to a LSC?

..I've had my LSC 2x12 combo for about 6 years now and love it. I tend to mainly use Ch2 but set virtually clean. Chimes with the P90 neck on my Duesenberg Starplayer TV, gives a bit of grit with the bridge humbucker and can do pretty much everything else with pedals. Anyway, I developed a hernia la...

Love for Ch2 LSC?

obviously it's not exclusive, but anecdotal evidence suggests that the majority of LSC players love CH1's cleans, but aren't as impressed with CH2's more compressed OD tones. I've had my LSC for about 4 years now and my use of it has evolved over time. Nowadays all my pedals go straight into the fro...

Lonestar Classic volume drop/ v3 preamp tube

Hi, Lonestar noob here. I bought a used 100/50/10w version a few months ago and I love it. I was previously a confirmed Marshall man, but found myself using clean tones more and more. Together with a Xotic BB and a JHS Charlie Brown I can get close to the best of my Marshalls together with the wonde...

Re: LSC - Effects Loop Distortion

Hello Mike/ anyone. Lone star noob here. I picked on this old thread as I have an almost identical problem. I too use a DD20 and a Hall of Fame through the loop together with some other pedals. I get a distorted tone from the Hall of Fame pedal- though only on the Big Room with a View toneprint. It ...
