Re: Lonestar Classic 100 Watt head and 6V6

I have a brand new set of JJ 6V6s set aside and have yet to try them out in my LSC. Think I might have to install them, hook up to the 4x10, and see what happens. What was most noticeable tone change?

Wet/Dry/Wet Setup Help

Before I blow anything up, I'd like to know if I'm planning this correctly.

Lone Star Slave Out into TimeLine. TimeLine L/R Outs into 2:90 inputs A/B. 2:90 speaker outs into L/R cabinets. *Lone Star speaker out into "dry" cab.

Thanks for any help.

Lone Stars Discontinued?

Have the Lone Stars been discontinued? I noticed that Sweetwater has the Special listed as "no longer available".

Re: TA-30 Quality

What complaints are you concerned about? If it's about the effects loop/reverb issues, I asked the same question and a few members chimed in. Just look for my question a few posts down from yours. Seems that the general opinion is that the early models may have issues, but the later models are okay.

WOW! I thought I had decided on a JP-2C, but this has me reconsidering my decision. Nice tone.

Re: TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

Thanks for all of the replies. The plan for this amp wouldn't require the loop or reverb so I guess I'm good to go. But...things may change down the road and hopefully I don't run into the problems.

TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

I found a TA-30 for the right price, but remember reading a few complaints/problems from members on this board. Are they all problematic when it comes to the reverb and effects loop? Should I look for a TA-15 instead? Thanks for any help.

Stiletto Deuce II vs Triple Crown???

Does anyone have any experience with both amps? If so, what are the similarities/differences? I loved the "tight" clean channel of the Stiletto Deuce II, but struggled with the brightness on channel 2. Thanks for any info.

Re: Will Mesa build...?

Just got off the phone with Mesa. I was told "unfortunately we don't build anything that is out of production, we only service them." Oh well...the hunt continues.

Re: Will Mesa build...?

Good to hear. I am hoping that since the current 2x12 Lone Star cabinets are the same dimensions as the out of production 1x12, it will just be a matter of a different baffle.
