My bandmate's family was directly affected by Texas shooting
Hey guys. Tragedy hit close to home yesterday. I found out around 4PM CST that my guitarist Ronnie in LaSanche had family which were murdered in the church shooting in Southerland Springs, Texas. His Sister in law lost her father, mother, brother, sister in law who was 8 months pregnant, 4 nieces an...

Re: Grid Slammer and 5Band EQ on Dual Rec
Grid Slammer is great out front. I do not like the eq on the front end, but sounds great in the loop. Each to their own though. Try it in front or after of the GS, and then through the loop.

Re: Electrolytics, capacitor kit?
Contact Mesa directly for the correct electrolytics designed to be used in the amp. They will probably cost you less than that eBay seller and won't have to sweat getting fake components.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Fest 2 October 28, 2017
I will be pulling double duty at this show. My band LaSanche plays second. LaSanche will also be backing the vocalist for Blood Storm like we did last year in Maryland. This is all the information I have for the show. Contact Last Nightmare on Facebook for more details https://s26.postimg.org/4m4x4t...

Re: Is boosting a Recto overrated?
After several years of boosting the front end, I had to go to rehearsal this last Wednesday sans pedal board. I was migrating from my old DIY board to a Temple board and needed a IEC female to regular power cable female extension cord to connect the board's power to my power brick adapter. MkIII Ren...

Re: Is boosting a Recto overrated?
I use a SD1 to boost my Dual. I used to use a Maxon OD808 that was stolen from my car along with some other stuff a couple years ago. I wound up liking the Boss pedal's addition to my tone than the Maxon for one it lacks the mid bump the Maxon or other TS types add. The Boss adds what I would call a...

Re: What is a good DAW app for a beginner with a slow comput
Reaper is great, but in all honesty it is not a install and off to the races DAW. Especially if you are familiar with another DAW. Reaper has basic fundamentals of a DAW, but think of it as a DAW that is so customizable that no two set ups will be the same. The idea is you customize it to your work ...

Appreciate it. I ended up buying the MSTR grade. I dont trust modern tube witch doctory unless there are good reviews for several years after a new tube's introduction to the market. Anyone have a clue on which of the three tube companies are looking to fill the slot left by the Svetlana Plant? It i...

Re: Are good cables REALLY worth the extra dosh?
Monster Cables are great. They are so great that when I went all Monster leads from 2007-2010 I noticed they were too much for the wimpy Switchcraft jacks I use in my guitars. In those three years I replaced 20 jacks across three guitars I gig with. I wrote Switchcraft thinking I ran into a bad batc...

Re: Using a different amp
Never understood why anyone that actually PLAYS their instruments ventures over to TGP unless you are trying to be a troll. Bunch of wankers with more money than sense. To the OP, If I am told I cannot touch an amp that is being back lined I do it anyways. I tell the guy I will put it back to the wa...

Blizzard of Oz - Revelation Mother Earth
Opening section of Scorpions - The Sails Of Charon I usually hit repeat once Klaus open his mouth since the rest of the song is anti-climactic.

Re: help me choose a Cabinet
I think either would be a good improvement over the MX412. They are made of MDF, with average speakers. You'll probably get a better sound with the MB Cabinets. I would say go with the 4x12, as that is what are you are used to. But the 2x12 wide would also sound good. It just would require possibly...
