Re: DC Mods that are easy to do!

Hey everyone, I cut one lead out from that big white resistor Maynardo did. Jury is still out but I like the tone so far. Also, went ahead and did the master volume mod as well. Maybe just my imagination but the amp seems to be running hotter now. Anyone else experience this after the mods or is it ...

Can you run a DC5a direct to front of the house using the record out? Would it sound okay?
Thanks in advance!

Was the op amp hard to replace? Is your amp still working okay?

Re: DC-5a help please

That's awesome! I jumped the effects loop with a patch cord and it worked. So, now I'm waiting for a new jack to come in so I can replace the send jack. Thanks everyone and Monsta-tone!

Have you figured out anything else on your amp? Was it the octocoupler?

Re: DC-5a help please

My first hunch is an LDR or octocoupler? But I really don't have a clue. I'll try what you did tomorrow to narrow it down though. Thanks for the ideas!

DC-5a help please

My beloved DC-5 is acting funny. Absolutely no problems with it but then today I turn it on and it sounds bad. Really bad. I swapped all tubes with a totally different set of tubes and it is exactly the same problem. Also, the channel masters on both channels are not working. All the other pots are ...

Back in fold! Couple questions...

Got a DC-5 about a month ago. I think it is an A version. Great sounding amp. I absolutely love this thing! The clean channel is great, the lead channel sounds great. All with minimal tweaking. This is the third DC I've owned along with a Mark III blue, MKIVa and MKIVb. The first was a DC-5b, then a...
