Mark I reissue combo owners

Quick question for those with a Mark I reissue combo. Does the chassis on your combos float a little in the cab. On my combo the chassis has some give. The screws on top of the cab are tight. Even so there is still some give from front to back if you press against the faceplate.

Normal?

Re: Mark 1 Reissue Question

Did you buy it? :P Mint with imbuya, sounds very cool. I have a blonde RI combo -- certainly not "dark and sterile". But if the bass knob is turned above 3 or so it takes over the sound of the amp in a way that many people don't like. Didn't get that one. He wouldn't ship it. I did end up buying on...

Speaker/Cab for Mesa Mark I

I have an older Two Rock 1x12 cab, oval back. I was thinking of using it with a Mark I Reissue. What would be a good speaker to drop in that cab? Right now there is Jupiter Alncio 50 watt speaker that I use with my Fender Deluxe. But I assume the Mark I will kill that speaker if I crank it up a litt...

Re: Price of an original Mark 1 Combo

One more question...the red heat shrink on the two wires by the two black and silver caps. What role do those wires play and is the heat shrink a cause for concern?

Re: Price of an original Mark 1 Combo

Thanks for all the help. So tempted to pull the trigger. But nervous about taking on a vintage amp. The cab is in decent shape. Speaker is original and the seller says it all works. And it has been serviced, which is both good and bad. I probably would have made sure it was done to spec. But at leas...

Re: Price of an original Mark 1 Combo

Like all the old Boogies I would say it is pretty dependent on condition and features. A really clean Mark I with GEQ/100w/Reverb and EV is going to go for a lot more than a worn out, unserviced 60w without GEQ. They should have a serial number on a dymo label on the rear panel. I posted some guts....

Looks to be $1,000.00-$1,200.00 asking price now-a-days.
The one I am looking at is about $1500. Too high? It if pretty much unmolested. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra $$ for an original versus a re-issue.

Price of an original Mark 1 Combo

What would one expect to pay for an original Mark 1 in decent shape. Has never been serviced.

Also, do the original boogies have serial numbers?

Re: Mark 1 Reissue Question

Good amp as far as an off the shelf Boogie Mark I... The circuit is a near faithful recreation of a late 70's Mark I. The presence and negative feedback loop are altered but can be modded if you want a true period correct Mark I. They still seem to get roughly $750.00 to $1500.00 depending on cab/h...

Mark 1 Reissue Question

Not sure if this belongs in the "vintage" section or the "modern" section. Anyway, I am thinking for picking up a mint Mark 1 Reissue from 2012. It is the hardwood combo with wicker grill. Loved my Mark V. Though, I am I started to get frustrated with all the knobs and options. The simpler the bette...

Mesa Boogie 12" Celestion Black Shadow C90 Speaker 8ohm

$85 shipped.

I had this speaker in an external cab for about two months. It has had very little use. It probably isn’t even broken in. Some solder residue on connectors.

it is 8 ohms. 90 watts. 12 inch.

Mesa 6L6 STR 440 power tubes (3x matched pairs) brand new

$130 for the three matched pairs Three sets of brand new Mesa 6L6 STR 440 power tubes. All three sets are coded "yel." I had these as backups for a Mesa Mark V that I just sold. These tubes haven't been used. I want to sell all three as a set. https://i.imgur.com/BWUhiPfh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qkA...
