Re: Demo Day: Lonestar Special vs. Express+5:50

The small, nearby Mesa Dealer I visited also had a Lonestar Special Combo and Express 5:50+combo model. It sounds like you tried a 5:50 head through a 1x12" closed back cab, correct? I didn't do an A/B of the two, nor did I bring my own rig. Kudos to you for doing so, and giving yourself as much tim...

Re: New Express Plus 5:50 vs Used Mark V

Thanks babow2. Question: Do you own a 5:50 Express Plus or 5:25 Express Plus?

I get what you're saying about the richer/more high quality gain tones but would imagine the 50 Watt max setting is a little different than 25 Watt max setting.

New Express Plus 5:50 vs Used Mark V

Hi Folks,

Just purchased my second Boogie, a brand new, 5:50 Express Plus.

But....

Now seeing that I could have got a mint, used Mark V or about the same $$$$. (Options about on Ebay)

If you had the choice to make in this regard, what would you choose and why?

Any help appreciated,
JD

Any fans of non-mod Studio .22?

Hey folks, Wondering if there are any fans of the original, non-lead master mod Studio .22 I do like mine, which I purchased in the spring, and wonder if I'm really missing much by not having the lead master mod or a Studio .22+. I use a pedal for dirt/crunch in a lot of situations. Ocassionally, I'...

Cleaning Grillcloth...your suggestions?

Hi all,
The original grillcloth of my Studio .22 is in need of some cleaning. Any suggestions on what's worked well for you without discoloring the piece?

Any help appreciated,
JD

Studio .22 and Studio .22+ -- Same dimensions?

Hi all,

I just picked up my first Boogie, a Studio .22 and want to purchase a cover for it. The only covers available seem to be for the Studio .22+, which I imagine is the same dimensions but am writing here to see if anyone can confirm that.

Any help appreciated.
