hmm interesting. only downside is i need to get all new pots for the guitar...a little bit more time consuming then just popping in new pups but nonetheless, i'm probably going that route. I like having my time machine boost on clean always on before my rectoverb and that works great for my dimarzio...

why do you recommend that mix of pickups? I put a dimarzio air norton in the neck of my brothers cheapy ibanez and it sounds really good paired with the air zone in the bridge. I really have been considering getting rid of the actives. they are just too hot and sterile for my taste. someone recommen...

Swapping different EMGs around in my baritone. suggestions?

Hi guys. I've had my Series 2 rectoverb for a while now and love it. my second guitar is a solid maple Agile Baritone that came with actives that i didn't like so I swapped them for a set of 81/85s Had the 81 in the bridge for the longest time but was always annoyed by how allow and trebly it was, s...

great choice on guitar. I have the Blue SZ520 and with my guitar techs help he got me to get the Dimarzio setup (or what he called a "les paul killer tone" A virtual PAF in the neck and the Air Zone in the bridge. This guitar is my favorite with a coil tap option that the guitar came with (he put in...

I like the sound of my amp, and i really like the cleans, but when i heard the samples of his rectos cleans after the mod I wanted to sh!t myself!!! It's the high gain i don't know about. If I want a marshall sound i'd just as well have a marshall alongside my rectoverb but it sounded really good. T...

Anyone Voodoo Modded their Recto?

I heard the clips of the dual recto modded on voodoos website and the cleans sound friggin amazing. The high gain mode is very smooth as well but minus the bees. Anybody had this done and have clips comparing them or know where i can listen to more? Thinking about my rectoverb series 2 being done bu...

But that's OK. Do any of you guys have any suggestions for the pedal? I have a modded Analog-man TS-9, it's great but it's not gonna do "Santana" for me. I'm using a rectoverb and before i had that i still have my Ashdown peacemaker 20 watt. A really nice overdrive pedal that will get you some sant...

what is it again, the main output of the amp master has to be set higher then the channel masters right? somewhere around 9 oclock for the channel masters and then probably a bit higher on the output ofthe amp for bedroom playing.

I have a second series Rectoverb head and love it. Cleans are awesome and was blown away by them after reading alot of online threads about how they suck. I found mine used but in mint conditino online for 900. The guy had it for a practice amp with a triple for his touring rig, all the tags still o...

wow, that Hiwatt cab looks really sweet. I got a question for you guys. I'm running my Rectoverb II head into my Avatar cab thats loaded with Eminence Wizards. sound really good but the cab has that huge oval port in the back almost making it an open back i guess. used to stand right next to the amp...

ok so its teh "channel master" thats controlling the feed to the loop uh? whcih would explain why the distortion channel realy wasn't doing anything. thing is that I have the loop as a series now and not parallel so its fully mixed in. I'l try that little tweak thanks. I've even considered going acr...

some new problem with my effects loop!

So after modding the rectoverbs parallel effects loop to series. I've got a pigtronix phaser, a dd-20 delay and a dml 10 II delay. It seems that my time machine boost my be adding too much gain to my signal to cause my pedals to distort in the effects loop? is this possible? it is series now so I ca...

yeah but i'm officialy done. Besides i had a couple big pieces of recording gear that I needed to sell off and supplied a lot of funds. Except I have to leave it all at home when i'm off to recording school for 6 to 8 months because i don't want to leave it in some rundown apartment with no named ro...
