Re: 1985 Mark III identification

Here’s what it says
105-162318 OD
I’m confused, it definitely says 105, but it’s not 3 1/2 inches tall.

Re: 1985 Mark III identification

I just took a closer look, it’s hard to read the number, but it is the same number you listed. I tried taking a picture of it, kind of hard to do.

Re: 1985 Mark III identification

Is it determined from the very top number on the transformer?

Re: 1985 Mark III identification

I’ll have to take a look when I get home, I thought it was the 105PT, maybe I’m wrong.

Mine has the 105PT and has a very low 16,000 serial number.

Re: 1985 Mark III identification

That X on the back just means no-stripe or black-stripe. Early one for sure, but you'll have to pull that back panel off to see what transformer is under there. Is it a 100/60 or Simul-class? Not sure about the 105PT on 100/60s? I have never seen a cab that size. Is it a really tall head or is ther...

RFT 12AX7 - Mini Rectifier

Just curious if anyone is using an NOS RFT 12AX7 in their Mini Rectifier? If so, which preamp position? And what kind of tone difference do you hear?

Thanks

Slight breakup tone

Looking for some help.
Trying to get a tone with just a little breakup. Playing a Strat with sing coils.
Amp is a Mark III simul-class no stripe, GEQ.

Setting suggestions? Including GEQ.

Thanks!

Mini Rec - pushed clean mode

Is there any way to switch from normal clean to pushed clean on the mini Rec with a pedal?

Add your Mark III settings

I want to start a thread with nothing but Mark III settings. As we all know when you're new to a Mark III it can be difficult to dial them in. Let's post our favorite settings, include presence and GEQ settings if your amp has the GEQ. Here's mine Volume 1 - 7 Treble - 7 (Pulled) Bass - 1 (Pulled) M...

Mark III mid control knob not working

The mid control knob on my mark iii isn't working. The push / pull function is working, but when I turn the knob the mids don't adjust at all. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks,
Sean

Re: Mark III Voodoo Man Switch...How to use?

If you've got everything plugged into the correct places and you have both knobs pushed in, then there's probably something wrong with either the pedal or the amp.

Re: Mark III Voodoo Man Switch...How to use?

Do all three channels work properly when not using the footswitch?
