Re: Which Mesa would you choose (Nomad 100 Head or 50. Caliber + Rack)

Hey - I'm not really a fan of either them 2 amps - they can be pretty cheap on the used market as they were not to successful but for me I would recommend a Mark V 25 - you should be able to pick a used one up for reasonable money 2nd hand and they just absolutely rock - they are plenty loud enough ...

Re: MK V 35 channel one problem.

Hey mate I think they are one of the best amps available - I also would love to have the clean & crunch modes available on a foot switch but I don't think it can be done, maybe it could be modded though ? - for my crunch sound I run my MkV 25 in extreme mode but I back the gain down and push the vol...

Re: Yea... That Virus causing us to stay at home...

John Mayer would be one of my all time favourite guitarist on the planet however I can only tolerate some of his songs - ie - I reckon I would have listened to Live at the Nokia 2007 album over & over & over again countless times, even on Blu-ray I would watch it - it is faultless, absolute perfecti...

Re: Is an upgraded c+ a legit c+?

This is just me but if I were to be buying a Mark IIC+ and the amp I was buying was not an original IIC+ then I wouldn't want to pay top dollar for it regardless who done the mods.

Re: Question About Mark V 25 Head

Hi Will Get the Mk V25, you will love it mate - its great at low volume with a single 12in V30 speaker - I prefer the 25w mode at low volume but you can flick to 10w and you just lose a little bottom end - sure its better with a 4x12 recto cab cranked up (which is what I use most of the time) but it...

Re: Pod X3 Live & Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier

You will be OK to hook it up through the fx loop and 4 cable method however the dual/triple have a parallel FX loop - so you will get an odd sounding delay tone etc when you hook the multi fx unit in the loop (this is due to how they send the signal from the multi fx unit) - so unless you modify the...

Re: MARK III BLACK STRIPE SNAP CRACKLE POPPING

I also found that after the tech had done some work it always use to crackle & pop on start up for a while before it would come good - someti...

Have you set your reverb up a little - on Zero this will have a dry tight feeling - I always have a little verb on

Cool amp mate - what part in Australia are you from - I would recommend just going to Pro Audio in Canberra they are the dealer - the tech there is very cluey, he may want to replace all the components though? - there is also another guy here on the forum that posts by the name Mcbarry he is also ve...

Re: Looking for a tone not sure how to describe

I would set to extreme mode as well and bring your gain down to the playing volume you want while your master volume is at 60% plus - get the tubes to work a little more, set your bass up and mids up a little to compensate

Re: Mark III blue stripe 6ow - low output on clean channel

Hi Jon

I still have not pulled the chassis out to check or take a pic but if you send me your email I will flick you a picture as soon as I take one - I don't have an online picture storage account anymore for forum pics so it might be easier just to do via email etc

cheers mate
