Has anyone tried to further equalize their Mark V with a equalizer pedal?
Yep. Had Source Audio Eq for Ch2/Crunch... tested also using it with ch3 but the built in GEQ worked best in that context.

Re: Bought a used, possibly faulty Electra Dyne.

If anyone still posts here I’m wondering if you could help me out. I bought a Electradyne from GC dirt cheap, they said it had an output issue. I took a chance on it after playing it since it was really cheap. It powers up ok, sounds ok, it’s “kinda” loud but not as loud as I remember these amps. I...

PS - would be nice to keep the LED if I can, as a visual
Yep. I’m not sure if it’s possible as the channel state is based on closed/open circuit and led will close the circuit.

https://www.boss.info/global/products/fs-5u_5l/ this may be the solution.

Hello.

I think you cannot use footswitch with led in external switching jack.

Reading the Mk V manual it doesn't seem clear if the channel 3 Pentode / Triode modes apply to both the 45 and 100 watt modes?
It refers to the configuration of the 45 watt's middle pair power tubes, but also in the 100 watt mode?
Thanks
The switch works in both modes (45/90)

Re: Strange Low End Resonance on Modern Mode

Mesa support is kinda blowing me off saying its normal. So i prepared this video. Is this normal? https://youtu.be/qZjgUg1u1eY It sounded like normal recto to me. with 6L6 in power amp the modern will have these tails in lower notes.... If you try partially palm muting some power chords, th...

Re: Finally got a Deuce II !!

I also had the stage I deuce about an year ago. I swapped it pretty quickly (bought it with family’s money - not the personal toy money). Fast forward to this year and replaced Mark V with Deuce II. I think I’m happier with the stiletto  of course there are things I miss in Mark V but (ch1 an...

Re: Settings to improve guitar volume control

There are times when my Mark V isn't as responsive as I'd like to changes in my guitar's volume pot... Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any settings tweaks to improve that behavior? Thanks! Well. Personally I have found that adding treble makes the volume control more usable if the guitar doesn’t...

Re: New Member and Old Boogie Mark IV A

Hi! I did change the pre-amp tubes, except for the 12at7 as I don't have a spare, but now the problem is back with the "good" tubes. I am measuring the voltages at the moment, and I've also installed a 240V/220V selector switch. The heaters are at 6.44V with the 240V setting as opposed to 7.10V on ...

Re: The potential of the underrated 3ch Dual Rectifier!

Great job :) Enjoyed listening those clips of yours. It’s always nice to see that somebody has given time and thought to these demonstrations. Nice playing and engineering. Personally I would not use the raw mode, as the tone was not of my liking but it worked really well in your clip. As I used to ...

Re: Rectifier Preamp Mono Record out?

Hey Boogie People I have a Rectifier Recording Preamp. I am using SSL SiX as our board in our studio - and there's just not enough inputs. I have an aux send on my SiX to a Lexicon MPX1 that stereofies the signal. Can I just run a mono Record line off the Boogie to the SiX? I looked through the man...
