Can anyone tell me if an LSC chassis will fit into a Electra-Dyne 27" 1x12 combo shell? Thanks.
Both amps are rack-mountable thus chassises should be under 19” :) probable fit...

Re: EM Custom MIDI switcher

Thanks!

So the device itself cannot save the own state per PC. So I would preferably use CC messages from midi controller to control the amp... :!:

Hum... have to investigate a bit more about this 8)

Re: EM Custom MIDI switcher

Hi.

This thing has got me interested again to convert the rig to midified.

How that thing is programmed for case:
preset #1 : Ch3 / geq off / reverb on/ solo off.
preset #2 : Ch2 / geq on / reverb off / solo on
Etc.

I found some manual but it was not so elaborate

Re: Depth/Resonance mod for Vintage Mode (2 Channel)?

Only necessary mod would be the serial loop mod.. after that one could use eq in loop to tame the depth charge effect :) Mesa GEQ would be somehow proper eq for the Mesa amp ;)

Re: Mark V footswitch connections

Hello! I believe that Mark V 90 W 8 pin din connector is just 7 on/off connectors and power for footswitch. So the pins should be: Channel 2, Channel 3, Reverb, Mute, FX loop, Solo and EQ. The ground is needed of course. So I have 8 pin din connector and I am planning to build a connector box to my...

Re: Which LoneStar?

With a set of Yellow Jackets, you can run EL84s in the LSC. Found that out in the forums here. I believe you can even blend EL84s and 6V6s in 100 watt mode on the LSC if I remember correctly. I tested this with Roadster :) using the yellow jackets/el84 in 50w tube positions and leaving the 100w wit...

Re: Electra Dyne Volume Taper

Hi. I solved the volume taper issue with extra volume pot in fx loop (simple volume pedal works also.. but I diy’d from parts found at home). No mods needed in amp itself which is nice. Other mod would be to mod the reverb circuit to return the wet signal before fx-loop so that it would not be paral...

Re: Mark V 35 extension cab

Hello. From those you listed I’ve tested the thiele with EVM and widebody closed back... My personal preference would be closed back and from the ones I had, the widebody closed back was the winner. The thiele with evm could be harsh in certain settings and if my memory serves right thiele is extrem...

Re: Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'

I'm new to the MK V and just stumbled upon this thread. There's a TON of information here! Can i please just get a down and dirty update? Maybe update the OP? Not looking to do anything but the AT7 swap. Is it just V47? Just V6? Both? Thanks! If you have a single AT7, try it in V6 for a while, then...

Re: Mark IV: What's the point of having Left & Right Effect Returns?

Right, but if I understand correctly, the Simul-Satellite is just a Mesa branded Poweramp + GEQ + Speaker packaged into a combo format. Still not sure why a stereo fx processor wouldn't just route one channel directly to the Satellite, instead of sending both channels back to the IV, then going bac...

Re: Mark V - Barely Audible w/Loop Engaged

Hi.

Please test with jumper cable from fx send to return. On occasions I also have intermittent signal loss if fx loop is on and no jumper in place.. cleaning the connectors did not cure the prob so the jumper stays there in my amp.

Re: Mark V as a low volume practice rig

I don’t particularly enjoy using the V at home in 90W mode. The upper mids are really harsh and spikey. There may be some prob in my amp as ch 2 does change tonality a lot when channel master is between off and 10:00 also ch 1&3 does this to lesser degree but the sweet spot is between 11:00 to 14:00...

I have also add much more serious anti-spam software to the site. Hopefully this will cut down on the spam that has been hitting the site hard lately.
Thanks for this :) forum is readable again!
