Re: Pedal For Mesa Mark IIC+ and Mark IV Tones

Hey I am pretty impressed with that "IIc impersonator pedal" clip https://soundcloud.com/goforthsound/mark-iic-cleaned-up

I can't seem to find the manufacturer or company etc. Can you give me any more information on the pedal etc?

Looking for a dual overdrive to do this.

I'll make this succinct as possible. My World beat band (Santana-Marley-War) I use a Mesa Mark II but often times run a Fulldrive III into the clean channel with the Mesa' pre-amp on 7. It makes for a faster set up and I don't need to do the 4 cable set up to the effects loop. I use the OD channel o...

Re: New Mesa amp: Fillmore 25!

My main concern is if there is enough clean head room. I noticed the Mesa demo had the amp on 5 or louder on the Master volume. I can get enough clean head room out of a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI at about 3-3 1/2. If the Fillmore can compete with that db level I will be very interested.

Mesa Filmore 25 vs Fender Deluxe Reverb for clean head room

When I do my rockabilly, swamp blues, surf oriented trio, my Deluxe RI is invariably at 3-3 1/4. That provides enough head room for me and then I smack it with a light OD pedal. I noticed that the official demo from Boogie had the Filmore 25 pretty much half way up with the pre and master volume, wh...

Re: I believe no fix for it..MKlll weak Reverb

I sent in my Mark IIC+ for a refurb and asked Mike B. if could bring up the level of the reverb. He did and it is great now!!! I am so used to using digital reverbs in the effects loop for more control, but if I have to do a fast "get your arse on and quickly get your arse off the stage gig, I would...

Mark IIC+ Refurb success story

I've had at least 3 Mark IIC+'s but I've held on to the least equipped version. 100 Watts, Reverb (No EQ, no Simulclass). It just has a quality to it that I have yet to match with any other amp. I bought it in a pawn shop in Spokane WA for $400.00 around the year 2000. It was a beat up combo which h...

Re: I believe no fix for it..MKlll weak Reverb

The effects loop in the Mark IIC+ and the Mark III are decent. I run my Mark IIC+ with an old Alesis Micro Reverb II. It sounds fantastic and you can control way more than the one-knob reverb on the Mesa.

Re: Smoother speaker for Mesa 50 Caliber +

I can't stand that stock speaker either. I don't have the 50 caliber but I do have the 22 caliber. I bought a Eminence Canibus Rex and it smoothed those rough edges you are talking about completely away. Cheap fix.

Snatched it for $500. I thought if anything I m...

Re: Studio .22 Mod? Balancing Volume Between Channels

I've owned three of the various Studio 22s. I still have one for gigs where I need to behave myself volume wise. Just stick any great OD pedal in front of the clean channel. Experiment with bringing up the pre-volume with the pedal of choice. It is a great low volume amp with plenty of punch. The Le...

Re: Questions about Mark iic+ effects loop

It is the best of the effects loops of the Mark II's but still has a couple of issues. No matter what you put in the loop, your will have a drop in volume and perhaps a bit of tone. However you have more than ample volume to compensate. The loop works better with some units than others so you just n...

Re: Picked up a great Mesa Studio 22plus/what speaker?

I went with the Reignmaker. It really works great with the Studio Caliber, it leans a bit more on the Marshall/Celestion vibe but I also have my Fender Deluxe RI with the Maverick if I want the American vibe. I dang near ran both of them at the same time but the on/off switch on the Mesa broke so I ...

Re: Who made the 12"/50w "Vintage Black Shadow" Speaker?

Speakers have much ado about what you trying to put through them. I play a Carlos Santana, Bob Marley vibe in one band and Blues Cajun Surf Rockabilly bar band music in the other band. I've bopped back and forth between Boogie's and Fenders for decades. That Vintage 50 watt speaker seems not Jensen ...
