Re: DC effects loop mod

Hi all, I looked into my DC3 to convert the loop to serial, but obviously the color coding of the wires is different... Here's a pic I snapped of the gut of the amp at the FX loop point. Can anybody tell me what to disconnect/re-solder? Thanx L. https://cloud.ikmultimedia.com/s/CTxrjZ4JBs5LHlT/downl...

Re: Rackmount chassis for DC3

Hey riggles! Thanx for the reply, I actually already saw that page you linked and asked Mesa support about the adaptability of the DC3 head (I took the chassis off the combo) to one of their rackmount sets, but haven’t got any answer so far... I guess the width should fit, what I’d like to have answ...

Rackmount chassis for DC3

Any idea where to find them? Contact Mesa directly? I have 2 DC3s, I'm thinking of a crazy idea of rackmounting them together with the rest of my rack stuff (Triaxis, GCX, System Mix Plus, Lexicons and Eventides) and use them as separate preamps and as a stereo power amp... Just an idea...it all sta...

Thanx

That could be an option, I’ll look into that. The only issue is that I’d like to use the two amps in a stereo configuration, so different speakers on the sides could be weird...

Modding DC3 clean channel for a more Fenderish tone

Hi all, Thanx to this very forum I got a second DC3 which I converted to a head for transportability and pairing with 2x12s (I actually bought the chassis only so it was natural to go to the head configuration). Now, I love my first DC3, drive tones are just what I feel comfortable when playing rock...

Re: DC Loop Mod to Serial Anyone?

Hi all I'm in the need of modifying my DC3 loop to serial to use it in a 4CM style with pedals and FX. Can anybody be so kind to post a wiring diagram and a brief explanation of how to actually perform it? I'm quite handy with soldering skills, so if as you wrote I can do it myself I'd be more than ...

Re: Why can't I make my Triaxis work with the DC3 power amp?

Bringing back this topic to ask a question: I've managed to have the TA work with the setup, but...It just doesn't sound right: I mean, it looks like the TA/DC3 power section isn't a good combination as all lead tones sound shrill and lack air and depth, clean tones sound small and not dynamic as I ...

Re: DC-3 footswitch issues

I belive I hve the opposite issue: one of my two DC3 is now defective in channel switching as I think the amp's switch jack is broken: I plugged the male jack in sometime ago and it won't go fully in (no pun intended... :? ) so I stupidly forced it in an heard some metal "clinking"...I guess the inn...

WTB Mesa Maverick

Head or combo.
If combo must be 1x12 for portability. Cabinet state isn't paramount. Electronics obviously must be in perfect working order.
I'm from Italy so shipping costs should be worked out. I also have a verified Paypal account if preferred as payment method.

Thanx

Re: Triaxis LED displays malfunctioning?

Hmmm, I hope that would be an easy thing, but I'm from Italy and the round trip to Petaluma and back is going to make the repair a bit on the expensive side...let alone customs fees and issues... I checked Mesa's web site and they are listing their Italian authorized service center (which is practic...

Re: Triaxis LED displays malfunctioning?

Hi all Just an update: I tried to unplug the ribbon connectors from their sockets (the two just behind the LED display) and reseat them snugly; unfortunately the display still behaves wrong. I'm starting to suspect that a few leds in the meters are blown (also because the LD1 yellow ed on the right ...

Re: Want to convert a combo to head: What's it take?

I'm about to do the same thing with my DC3, but I'm buildig the cabinet from scratch using 4 pieces of plywood cut to size and then either retolexing it or lacquer paint it to a see thru finish (even though plywood isn't as good looking as some exoctic wood stuff from the Mesa custom shop). I'll use...
