Re: C+ question---60 watt v 100 watt v simulclass

Some of the best clean tones I ever conjured were on a 60W C+ with no EQ. I have played quite a few sixty's and find them to be equal to any 100W in terms of tone. The 100W is close but has more headroom and the simul adds to my ears a bit of output tube compression, which is what I prefer as it's ...

C+ question---60 watt v 100 watt v simulclass

Hi Everyone, I'm sure this is a loaded question, but I was wanted to get some opinions about the ideal wattage for a C+. I'm sure most folks will say get a simul-class model, but I've found one that's 60 watts. This amp in question is a conversion (done in 1995), it's a combo with GEQ and 60 watts. ...

This is not mine, but I found it searching craigs list yesterday...

If you're anywhere near NY, looks like a good deal.

Wanted: Mark IIC+

Would prefer a head and must have Graphic EQ. I'm flexible on most other things.

WTB: Dual Rectifier (2 channel) Rev F or earlier

Hi,

Looking for a fairly priced Mesa Dual Rectifier. I had a Rev G, I'd like to try a Rev F or earlier.

Please let me know what you've got. I've searched the classifieds and completed listings on ebay and I think I know what these go for.

Thanks!

Re: pre 10,000 dual rec

Can anyone give me a Rev on R-006692? Mesa says it's a 1995. Most likely Rev G. As far as I recall from the Early Dual FAQ, the Rev Fs go until about the mid 3500s?? Mine is 26XX and a Rev F. The Rev F is quite similar to a Rev G but it is tighter and darker, as I understand it. Cool, thanks! I thi...

Mesa Mark III Red Stripe Head Short Chasis-SOLD

I've had this a few months and I just have too many amps. It's the red stripe version in a short chasis. It's got the R2 volume mod, graphic EQ, reverb, simulclass, etc. No footswitch. There are some dings and tears in the tolex, but the amp sounds great. SOLD http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t137...

Re: Help with my new Mark III - think I got shafted

the sellers listing said no playability issues, just cosmetic... and he did inform me that the tubes were a tad on the old side... but having crackling/popping while adjusting knobs, volume cutting out while using presence or volume knobs, not being able to even switch into R2, which it did tempora...
