Re: Tubes for Triaxis and Formula Pre

I can highly recommend a lower gain 12AT7 in V3...
Very good explanation can be found on the Triaxis page at www.tubfreak.com (check schematics>Triaxis)

Re: New Guy: Formula Preamp

Hey Adam, I wouldn't call it by that name...never have anyways since I had my Triaxis since the 90s. Two different cups of tea....the ADA has more of that Marshall flavor to it and its initial OD/Dist comes from a Dual Opamp, same as the MP1. The MP2 sounds also more "processed".... The parallel loo...

Re: New Tune "Believe", Mark V content!

NICE! Love Arrangement and Composition....those bells before the first solo (killer guitar tone btw) are awesome.

I´d just give the bass a bit more oomph/thump and maybe select a snare drum with more depth/belly

Else, sounds BOSS!

Keep em coming!!

Re: My TriAxis Experience

Hey JMMP, the dual OPAmps were all socketed in this TA, dunno though if it came factory like this....rumors are some of the early ones came this way. I don't use any Midi CC with the Triaxis though... The MPX-G2 is a humongous unit in terms of possibilities and sound quality. Pair it with the R1 rem...

Re: My TriAxis Experience

JMMP, been there, done that, got the T-Shirt. I used to have a V2 Phat in the early 2000s and couldn´t get a (to me) satisfying tone out of it...eventually sold it and stuck to my (modded) ADA MP1s, Engl heads,... In 2007 I stumbled upon a very early V1 that was converted to an even more early V2 n...
