Thanks for the reply. I just was about to post that I wired it up like a total newb. I had the MIDI cable going to the Out/Thru on both the FX8 and JP2C. I had actually been coding it right. As soon as I figured out the bonehead move, voila it was switching channels no problem. In fact exactly...
I am wondering if any other owners have paired up their JP2C with an FX8? I just recently purchased an FX8 and I'm struggling with getting the MIDI setup working so that I can change channels and setting on the JP2C and use the FX8 for switching channels and presets simultaneously. I'm admittedly ki...
Last summer he came to the Guitar Sanctuary McKinney, TX not too far from me. He could not be more gracious with his time. A really class act, and it explains a lot about why they make such great stuff. Class act translates into head of the class products too.
Those are all helpful tips. I have looked at similar options myself. I keep my effects use to mostly modulation stuff. I thought about pedals but know they can sometimes do well in a loop, and other times not so much. The FX8 would be ideal ( I sold my AX8 to buy this amp). It's sort of out of my bu...
I'm about to get my JP2C tomorrow. I'm starting over with my effects setup. I'm curious as to what the majority are using. Pedals? Multi Effects unit? Rack Gear? Which ones? I'm mostly looking at modulation effects mostly. Delay, Chorus, Reverb, Tremolo etc.

I just purchased a Mark V:35 tonight. It's on the way. In the meantime. I am looking at some options for effects to run with it. I am on the waitlist for both the AX8 and the FX8. So they're not options since I have no clue when my name will come up. In the meantime I was exploring a couple of optio...

Sorry to raise the dead but this appears to be exactly the same issue I am having with my new combo of a MK5 and GM2. Was it the cables that needed to be checked? I am at a loss as I think everything is connected as it should be. Was there any adjustments needed on the GM2 or MK5 to solve the problem?
I have a new Mark V and G Major 2 that I am trying to setup. The Mark V is playing back with real low volume and no effects coming through at all really. I connected the effects loop send -- G Major 2 Left Mono Input. The effects loop output is connected---to G Major Left Mono Output. I have the kil...

Up for sale is my Mark V head. Bought it in June of this year from Guitar Center's used department. Works great and plays like a beast. Recently posted this on here but kept it as I thought I could catch up on my bills with out selling. Realizing now this would help make ends meet and so it must go....
