Subway Rocket value

Since there's no sub for this amp I threw it here. Anyone have any idea what a fair price for a vg condition 20w Subway Rocket would be? One for sale nearby and wondered what a reasonable offer would be. Non original speaker but a warehouse vet so I'm cool with that. With the lack of info I'm curiou...

Re: The Official DC Club

I've had my DC-5B Head since 2015. I've had the chance to compare it with some other Boogies: Mark IIIs, Mark IVs, Rectos, etc. and my amp just SLAYED them all! It's a shame these amps are severely underappreciated. I know exactly what you mean. Had mine since 1997ish. I've had a Mk III, 3 Marshall...

Re: DC Mods - Revisited...........Sort of.............

Better Reverb Mod: 1. Dwell or Speed of Reverb...To change the Dwell of the Reverb, experiment with the 1M resistor that ties Pin 2 of V5A to ground (Grid Resistor). I like 680K or 750K a little better than the 1M. It slows the Reverb repeats down a little bit and makes it a little more Fender like...

Marshall sounds from a DC-5

Just curious if anyone has dialed in a decent Marshall type sound with their DC amps. For me that's been impossible without running clean and running a Marshall type pedal in front.

Pedals or Line 6 M13

Been heavily considering selling my pedals (sans wah, tuner & EP boost) and buying a Line 6 M13. Would be playing this through a DC-5 with the serial loop mod. Any suggestions? Any M13 owners that could lend some advice? - Thanks!

NPBD - SKB Stagefive

Good bargin & I couldn't be happier. Couldn't get this quality & features from a more expensive used Pedaltrain/Voodoo lab PP+ setup but without the routing options or other extras. Hoping to have time to get my pedals wired up and ready to go. I used to own it's less robust predecessor the PS-44 bu...

Re: DC gain structure... more Mark or Recto?

That amp has Mark lV cleans and Rectifier gain, they make a great combo with a 4X12 cabinet. Your guitar of choice will be critical to the final tone, especially the low end chug. That's been my impression from the first time I played through one. Some of what I like about both amps but not too muc...

Re: DC-2b footswitch

This should work fine for the DC-2b. I've used it for other footswitches in the past. It's the same as the provided link sans cool Boogie logo. Adjust the resistors to how bright or dim you want them. 1.4k seems like it would be very bright. I lean towards 2.2k. Hope this helps. http://www.tciaffair...

Re: Tremolo pedal

I've been enjoying the Rowin Trelicopter. Import clone of the more famous Demeter Tremulator. Never heard a Tremulator in person but I totally love this super cheap alternative. Thing's tiny too!.

Exactly. For me I wanted LP switching in HB mode & Strat/Tele stuff in addition. Took a bit but figured out what would work for me.

Copy & paste mistake. https://docs.google.com/gview?embedded=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.seymourduncan.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F05%2F2H_5WSPL_1V_1T.pdf Most of my wiring experience has been with LP's or Tele's. Still little new to 5 way Strat switch madness so this diagram was a little con...

Re: Strat HH wiring

Regardless of the pickup type (I just sub the correct colors) I use Seymour Duncan's schematics. They're super easy to read and their new website lets you easily select the pickups parts & pots you have to get the right diagram. I think this is the one you would want: https://docs.google.com/gview?e...

Re: Metal Settings for DC-5 Head (TAKE TWO)

I also have a DC-5b head. Neither flub nor fizz comes to mind with my sound. My cab may have something to do with it. I'm using a 2x12 half back with c90's. You could try removing the screamer. Personally my ears associate fizz with diode clipping. I did use a TS9 for a while but with the gain all t...

Re: Boost in effect loop

Absolutely no problem. As a matter of fact I find placing a boost in the loop makes it a much cleaner boost as it's not hitting the front of the amp but boosting after the input & preamp. I personally would place it at the end of the effects chain in the loop.

Re: Im looking for a chorus pedal. Any recommendations?

Very true darkbluemurder. Andy Summers always had my all time favorite "chorus" sound & I believe it was done with an EHX Electric Mistress flanger.

Just curious OP but after about 4yrs of originally posting this did you in fact find a chorus you liked?
