Re: Lonestar Classic - too much bass on drive channel - SOLU

Another less invasive way to tame the low end would be to run a good eq in the loop. I recently picked up a VFE Rocket parametric EQ and it really excels in the loop as a subtle bass cut and kick to the mids.

Re: What is your ideal Mesa/ What should Mesa do next?

Been checking the site a lot lately...would be cool to see a new design. I'd love to see a new high-gainer with midi functionality . A RK or Roadster recto type amp with midi control over channels and functions would be great. Or maybe a EDII or Stiletto with the above functionality. Or maybe just ...

Re: Fillmore 75 & 100

The FM75 has more low end, tighter low end, and is less scooped in the mids. Its got a much smoother top end that doesn't separate or fizz out with higher-gain settings. Thanks! V30 is not a scooped sounding speaker (just the opposite actually) so does that mean the FM75 is extremely mid-heavy or "...

WTB - UNLOADED Mesa horizontal 212 cabinet

Re: Just bought Electra Dyne

Congrats! For pedals, keep in mind that the Bogner Red will not stack well as a "boost". It is meant to be played through the clean channel set very clean. What it will do is add another channel that sounds and feels exactly like a Bogner Ecstasy. If you want something that's more an extension of th...

Re: MK IV ch 3 Presence: pushed or pulled?

I like it pulled for low to mid level jamming or recording most of the time. It has a really bouncy and dynamic feel this way. For more raw, aggressive chug at louder volumes I push it in.

Re: Bogner XTC red pedal and Electra Dyne. WIN.

The Bogner Red is by FAR the best dist/dirt pedal I've ever used. It completely blows away anything I've owned (BB+, OCD v.4, a million MXR, Boss, DOD, TS clones, boutique stuff, visual sound J&H, just to name a few) Thing about the Bog red is that it's made to be run into a CLEAN amp. It doesn't st...
