Re: What fuzzies do you like with the tc50

I am curious about this too. Do fuzz pedals sound good with the TC amps? I know on my Mark V, I have to use the clean or fat mode with a fuzz to get a decent sound. Tweed mode, I haven’t found to sound as good as clean or fat so far.

Re: Greenbacks?

I also have a Mesa vertical 2x12 that I recently picked up. It looks like the guy I bought it from never used it, looks mint. And the V30's are NOT broken in so to me they're really harsh sounding and I've had to dial the TC-50 in around these speakers. Not sure how much patience I have because I'm...

I havn’t done it either, but most people seem to use SoundCloud or YouTube for those sorts of things.

Re: Anybody get the TC-100 yet?

Mine will be here Friday/Saturday. Along with a Marshall JVM 215C. Both from Sweetwater. Then I leave on Sunday to go to Houston, TX for the week - ugh!! I'll have to give them nice play through before I go. Can't wait to hear those 20,7 and 3 watt modes! Would love to hear a comparison of ...

Re: Help needed with FX loop tone suck!

I've decided to either get a JPIIC+ or wait until the next mark series comes out. Either way, it's a year out before I get another amp. I have plenty to keep me busy until then. The TC-50 has a place in my collection - it's going to make a great classic rock/rockabilly/surf guitar amp when I eventu...

For now, I am limiting this to Dallas/Ft. Worth area to avoid shipping hassles. The cab is in pristine condition and comes with the original V30s and cover and casters. I am asking $515.00 for it.

PM me or reply to this message. I can send pictures if you want as well.

Dropping price to 500.00

I have a Nova delay instead of the Timeline. But I do have the Strymon Mobius and - yeah you can get lost for hours with the thing. Congrats on the Timeline. Strymon makes great products.

Downsizing from the 2x12 Vertical Slant, try another recto?

Have had my Mark V for about three years now and still loving it. Got the vertical slant at the same time and I really do like it simply for the fact that one speaker is angled up and it simply fills up a room. But, its way too much to lug around for the occasional jam at a friends house. I seem to ...

Re: What tones can you NOT get from a Mark V?

I had dreams of being able to cop a Marshall tone on the MV when I first got it. I still had my TSL for a week or two and I would try and try to emulate that Marshall crunch till I drove myself nuts. I got somewhat close but I finally got it through my thick head they are just two different beasts. ...

How to get this classic blues tone?

This is only one example, I heard it during the Olympics and it reminded me of how much I love this classic sound. At about 9 seconds in, a great classic blues guitar starts up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKZOlZd9H2M The problem is I can never seem to get close to this (could be lack of talent)....

Guitar forums give me GAS. GAS costs me money. I had to take a chill pill while my bank account cooled down.

Re: Compressors

When I use a compressor it's before the amp. It's handy at getting single notes to really stand out, so I use it for clean and high gain soloing. I like it better than using an OD pedal because it gives me more sustain and a slight signal boost without changing the overall character of the dirt the...
