Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

Not many coli"s out there.Very low production number. They do pop up every now and then.I got lucky to nab a red and a blue in exc condition ( externally anyways). When i bought my red stripe yrs ago on a forum, after plugging into it,i quickly realized Mike had to bring it up to par.He said It was a c...

Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

Good info^^^..My blue coli is going to mike for a go over this year, but i honestly love how my red and blue coli's are different and compliment each other..when using multiple 4x12 cabs,or a head switcher, to combine them, its a killer sound. My fav over my iic+ or mkiv..but theyre all good,no doubt

Re: Love my red stripe Mesa Mark III...GAS'n for a Mark IIc+. Am I really missing a lot?

Youre probably right. If i ever did ++ a mk amp,i suppose it would be my iic+.The iii's have a ton of gain, thickness, etc in them already....you may know more about this than me,but i do recall mike b saying something to to the fact once a while back that when you ++ the amp,you lose some of your sque...

Re: Mark III blue stripe vs Mark IV??

Ive often thought of moving my ivb( it gets the least amount of play time) but then i back off of selling it cause it is really nice. For me the pure raw, openess, power of the iii's is where its at,for now.I have gotten the most tone compliments live with my blue & red stripe coli's than my ivb and e...

Re: Love my red stripe Mesa Mark III...GAS'n for a Mark IIc+. Am I really missing a lot?

Np Gjgo! And congrats on your iic+ Scott! I at one time thought about having mike ++ my iic+ and + my coli's, but honestly, i cant imagine the need for any more gain that what i have now with them.My coli"s do have more gain than my iic+( mike b told me they would). But i like them for what they are....

Re: Love my red stripe Mesa Mark III...GAS'n for a Mark IIc+. Am I really missing a lot?

Markedman has it right. Id have to agree pretty much.I own a 84' mkiic+ thats just been gone over by mike b,and i also own a mkiii coli blue and a red stripe. Both my coli's have the rhythm 2 mod which is crucial to have.As been said, the mkiii,at least mine are way more versatile, have more gain than ...

Re: FS: Mesa Professional High Gain Amp Switch

Bump for a cool piece .Any pictures? The one i had could only switch preamp/ line signals. It has no load box in it to take load off amp heads. Is yours different?

this all makes me wonder if I should get my red stripe coli modded to +? it was just serviced, and already has the reverb and r2 mod.

Re: Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

just stumbled onto your post. the 25 and 35 will have a somewhat "smaller" feel and headroom than the v..This isn't a bad thing for some, you may like that. The 35 isn't nearly as "lunch box" size as the 25 but still small and weighs more than a 25,less than a v.The sweet spot on a 35 ( master approx ...

Re: Mesa Mark IV and pedals/stompboxes

I cant attest for fuzz type pedals into the iv,but man, does it really take well my friedman overdrive and diezel vh4 pedals in ch 2. mode. They also sounded good obviously in ch1.I like these overdrive pedals in ch 2 a bit better, cause you add just a teeny tiny bit of natural amp grit to the pedal.I...

Re: Mark V35 ordered!

I plan on buying both at some point the funding permits it.Plan is to order a nice flamed wooden shell and cab for the living room in v25,then for gigging out a regular 35.The 35 is prob a tad more versatile w/the 4 84s,solo boosts, and full cab clone. But cranked up,the feel of the 4 84's workin will...
