Re: EQ for the Stiletto

I only use my Eq on my Strat. Its a bright guitar into a bright amp so taming the highs and bumping the low end up just a bit. On amp Treble 9/10 oclock, mids 11/noon, bass 3 oclock. a little less mids on channel 2. I tweak a little with different guitars but thats pretty normal. Masters at noonish ...

Re: Fulltone OCD for Stiletto?

I use an OCD and it pairs very well the stiletto. It is a very versatile pedal capable of a lot of different sounds so i think it will do what you want. But hey if you love the octafuzz maybe thats what you will be the happiest with.

Re: My new Stiletto Ace!

I play an Ibanez AS83 (335 style semi hollow) and it too sounds fantastic through the Ace. I also picked up a strat recently and the cleans sound incredible with that guitar. I really love this amp in that I can get such wide pallet of sounds just by switching guitars & not having to have multiple a...

Re: recommendation: use humbucker pups with the Stiletto

I just picked up a Squier Classic vibe 60's strat (read the reviews these are great guitars for the money-$325) and it sounds great in the neck and middle position. 2 & 4 are a work in progress. The bridge can be pretty shrill but im learning how to manage with eq adjustments. Turning OFF the compre...

Re: Problems with Output and Solo volume

Check your effects loop switch if in bypass mode then solo and output are also bypassed and only the Master's control volume. Hope that's all it is!

+1 on the tube type. When I re-tubed with JJ's my clarity and cleans improved dramatically.

Re: Compressor recomendations?

So i got my compressor in the mail. First thoughts are I like using a compressor :) The unit itself is well... a $25 pedal. It's not plastic but the knobs probably won't last forever on my board. Controls are surprisingly responsive although backwards in my mind on the intensity knob as all the way ...

Re: Compressor recomendations?

Well I went cheap  I picked up a new Behringer DC9 for $25 to see if like using a compressor. good reviews on it actually. I figured for $25 not the end of the world if i don't like it. Some say its a copy of the MXR dyna comp.
