MKV35 Combo Compressor Choices?

Hi guys, I managed to get hold of a 2nd hand V35 combo last week. No wear on it at all and in mint condition. Great buy and great deal I thought. I've owned one before around a year ago and really missed it so I took the plunge again. I usually use my RKII head when I go out gigging but recently I d...

Re: Road king 2 cutting out.Foot switch maybe?

I'm wondering what the foot-switch cable would have do with the amp cutting out? Surly the foot switch controls the relays inside the amp and wouldn't have anything to with the actual audio signal of the amp? I've never had that experience before so I'm just trying to understand how that would the a...

Re: Road king 2 cutting out.Foot switch maybe?

I doubt it's the foot-switch unless the channel relays are stuck. I've never heard of the foot-switch causing any signal problems. Did the amp function ok when changing channels on the back of the amp via the rotary switch? It could be a preamp tube. The only way to diagnose a preamp tube problem is...

Re: Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Hi guys, I sold my 35 combo last year buy a Clapton Journeyman strat. I was really sad to see it go but I still had a RKII which covers all I need. Since deciding to scale down my rig and go back to a conventional pedalboard from my Axe FX II (Nothing to do with the III that was announced yesterday ...

Anyone Tried a Victory 2x12 Vertical Cab With Their Boogie?

Hi guys, I'm currently running a RKII rig with a boogie wide body 1x12 cab. I've been thinking of switching to my boogie 2x12 cab for a bit more depth to my sound. I just wondered if anyone has tried the Victory 2x12 vertical cabs at all? I thought this might be a better solution as I can't always h...

RKII Which FX Loop To Use?

Hi guys,

I've often wondered is there any difference in using FX loop 1 or 2 on a RKII? I'm running an axe fx thru FX loop 1 at the moment and all sounds pretty good. Should I be using loop 2 or does it not make any difference?

Many thanks
Paul

Yep I couldn't agree more they know their products inside and out. I been a Boogie player since 94" and I'm always interested to see what they will do next.

Re: RKII 6L6 Positions

Hi guys, I'm just checking something with you all. I wanted to replace the tubes in my RKII head but I was wondered are the 6L6's just placed in a matched pair in positions 1 & 2 and 3&4? Or are they placed 1 & 4 and 2 and 3? I know its that way on the dual and triple rec's but I thought it was dif...

Re: Road King II Chan 4 Volume Issue

Hello. I have a Roadster so a bit different platform but the preamps should be same in both amps... Did you try without fx in loop? - the vintage & modern have different poweramp voicings and fx loop levels and also the modern has huge amount of low end so compressor in fx loop would struggle with ...

Road King II Chan 4 Volume Issue

Hi guys, I need some help trying to find a problem with my RKII head. I was at rehearsal last night and this was the first time in a while I'd used my RK with the band. On some songs I use chan 3 as my rhythm sound and then instead of just engaging the solo I might just switch to channel 4 with the ...

Re: TC-50 Question? What did this amp replace if any?

I've not bought a TC-50 yet but I'm seriously considering trading in my MKV35 for it. As much as I love the 35 I think the TC will be more suited to what I need. Plus it has an extra channel for some low gain tones which I do miss when I use the 35.

Re: Was hoping for this forum to grow more....

I'm actually seriously thinking of checking out the TC-50. I'm curious I have a RKII and a MKV35 already, how would you guys compare the TC to these two amps? Just a different flavour I'm guessing?

Cheers

Paul

Re: Let's See Your Road King Rig's

Nice set up dude! Very clean and organized, not too much, just enough - small enough to gig with - well done! I was looking into a Road King 2 until the Triple Crown came out - now I want to see what other models of the Triple Crown will come out. Thanks dude. I love using the axe fx with my Boogie...
